Phillip and his dogs, Wieli and Ripple (see photo; wieli not pictured), were here for the weekend. They picked up Carrie at her mom's house and left early this morning. We will miss them all. They're moving from Oklahoma to Laramie, Wyoming, in July. So we'll see them even less frequently, I suppose.
Yesterday, Phillip's best friend, Chris, came down from Gadsden, and the boys had a jam session. It was so good to see Chris, whom we haven't seen in several years. He's getting married in the fall. Can't believe the boys are all grown up now. Even Jesse is officially an adult. Such precious, precious treasures are our young men.

Isn't it great to spend time with young people. I know you will miss them. Your poem made me think of all the families who must be missing their young people, too.

The juxtapostion of the poem/lyrics with the smiles of these boys so dear to you tore my heart out.

Everyday I say the same thing--they are just boys. It does, indeed, make me so sad.
