All Over But the Cleanup

The holidays were awesome. But even though I didn't go all out decorating this year, I still have some cleanup and put-away to do. Not my favorite part of the holidays.

We finished up last night by watching Alabama play Michigan in the Rose Bowl. And even though Bama lost by a touchdown in overtime, we're still mighty proud of them.  Congrats to the Wolverines. You beat a fine team.

We've had our greens and black-eyed peas with my homemade cornbread., and we're ready for a prosperous New Year. I wish prosperity and peace to all my friends and family (and to everyone else).

Sister Ramey and I used the days between to do some going out for lunch and visiting some of the local thrift stores. We didn't find many treasures this time, but I am quite proud of the doggie jacket I found (photos above and below). I don't often wear jackets, coats, and sweaters, being as how I stay hot most of the time. (Vann always said my thermostat was broken.) But I loved this one so much. I might never wear it, but it'll be mine all the same.

LOVE the jacket and am so glad to hear you had a wonderful holiday!!

I spy Santa over the mantle and you have nothing to be embarrassed about - very few of my decorations are taken down and none are packed away.yet.

Wishing you, family, and us all a healthy, joyful, and creative 2024, for this country, a BLUE November, and for the world, peace.

Hugs!
