Hello September
"And the days grow short when you reach September."
--Frank Sinatra
I think maybe it was Tuesday that I planned to work on Karen's quilt. Well, here it is Thursday, the first day of September, and I haven't set foot in the sewing room nor touched Karen's quilt. And I'm not sure I'll make it today.
Yesterday morning I served as my sister Ramey's driver as she went for her second and last cataract surgery. Surgery went well.
The rest of the day is sort of a blur. Since I had to wake up at dawn in order to get Ramey to her appointment on time, I was pretty sleepy when I got home. I tried to take a nap, but Taco didn't cooperate. Every time I dozed off, he planted his big body on top of me and sang the song of his people.
So why not sew today? I'll try, I will. But my knees are hurting and my allergies are acting up. But I am honestly going to try.
Glad to see September is here. The air is noticeably cooler already, and the little yellow butterflies are making their appearance. I've even seen a little color coming out on the leaves. The ...ber months are my favorite time of year. I expect to perk up considerably now that they have begun.
Happy September everyone.

Am glad Ramey's 2nd surgery went well but am sorry it was scheduled so early in the day.
I'm happy to see September, too but it's till hot here - 88*F today and more of that for the week ahead. The problem is the high humidity and that's 91% this morning without rain in the forecast.
I'm slowly sewing borders for the SIC quilt but for me if there is a grocery trip, there is no sewing due to lack of energy. Bummer!
My autumn quilts will go up on the walls on the equinox but I already changed the LR pillows.
Hugs!
