Mantel - 1 (1)

I was scheduled to host quilting bee on Monday, but it looks as if most of our members are going to be out of town. So bee is cancelled. At least I won't have to worry about having everything tidied up by then. I've started working on it, but my progress is as slow as molasses on a January morn.

I got half the laundry done yesterday, and I think the rest can wait a day or two. I'm going to try to get into the sewing room today and work on putting Karen's quilt blocks together. When I first started her quilt in June, I thought it might be done by Halloween. No way is that going to happen. I hope at least by Christmas though.

Every time another doctor puts me on another drug, I gain another five more pounds. Now even my fat clothes are getting tight.

Love your mantel and I wonder if you change the fabric behind the window for the seasons?
Sorry about the weight gain as meds can do that - especially for us who don't have the energy to keep moving or to actually exercise.
Thanks for the book update yesterday! I've reserved "The Boys" and Karen T. Walker's two books at our library. I really enjoyed Laurie R. King's book series about Sherlock Holmes and Mary Russell, good mysteries all with interesting historical details but not tense or scary.

Hugs!
