Loaded Up and Truckin'
Jesse decided he wanted to be a truck driver. So he enrolled in truck driving school. Yesterday was his last day. He finished with a 93.8 average and passed his state driving test. He is now a licensed professional truck driver. I’m not sure how happy I am at the prospect of him driving big trucks, but I sure am proud of his success so far. The “Smokey and the Bandit” song that Jerry Reed sang has been going through my head every since he came home with the news.
But since his 3 1/2 weeks of school involved being around a lot of people, he has agreed to go for a corona virus test to make sure he didn’t pick up any cooties. God willing, he’ll test negative; but if he happens to test positive, I will go for a test also.
It was probably not the best idea to take these classes during a pandemic, but when he enrolled, we had no idea things would be what they are.
His mom, Andy, brought balloons, brownies, and ice cream after work, and we celebrated--six feet apart and masked.
In Skipper news, after several more trips back to the vet, he has now been diagnosed as having a skin allergy. I think the good doc got it right this time. She put him on Apoquel twice a day, fish oil on his food, and twice weekly baths. After four days of this regimen, he is much better. No more rolling and wiggling and scratching and insisting that I scratch his back constantly. We’re getting a lot more sleep around here than we have for the past month.
I’m still working diligently on millefiori rosettes. Have a couple finished to show, but not photographed. Later, gators.

Congratulations to Jesse! I suppose that with CDs and books on CD, it's not so boring driving all over creation (don't let your brakes overheat in the mountains!). Hope Jesse tests negative for covid.
Well done on those millifiori blocks!
Hugs!

oh, and am glad a cure for Skipper's misery has been found so you all can sleep better at night.
