Eureka!
A stack of already paid bills had been lying on the island table in the kitchen for several weeks, so I decided to go through it to make sure I hadn’t missed anything and then throw it away. Lo and behold! Look what I found when I opened it--the coronavirus stimulus payment. I had completely given up on ever receiving it, and there it lay in my kitchen for who knows how long.
Now I ask you, does that envelope look like it contains anything from the government--much less a payment? I actually thought it was a credit card offer. It’s one thousand wonders I didn’t throw it away unopened. But since it felt like a card was inside, I decided to open it and destroy any unsolicited credit card that I’d been sent. I was gobsmacked when I realized what it was.
So a word to the wise: If you are still looking for your stimulus payment, don’t throw away any mail until you inspect it thoroughly.
Oh, and I got another rosette completed in the last few days. This one went very slowly. Skipper has demanded much attention during his most recent anal attack. He seems better this morning. But not 100% yet.
Be safe, everyone.

How weird. Mine looked just like a tax refund check back in the days when I still got a refund!

Phew! So glad you opened this envelope before shredding it or tossing it. Now you get to look forward to a letter from the US Treasury which contains a letter from He Who Must Not Be Named congratulating himself for your stimulus payment. What another waste of taxpayer money that is.
Love your roses and cherries rosette! It's beautiful. :)
Hugs!
