Not since I made Lori Holt’s Farm Life sampler have a worked on a quilt that kept me totally inspired and interested as this millefiori quilt does. I usually feel the monotony about halfway through a quilt--sometimes sooner--expecially if the blocks are all the same. This one is so much fun. It takes a toll on my hands, though, and I’m hoping they are going to hold out until I’m finished. No more hand piecing for me after this one.

Skipper is under the weather again. Went to the vet yesterday, and she told me he has another infected anal gland, gave him another round of antibiotics. That boy! He’s just a real pain in the booty. Bless his heart.

Read any good books lately? I’m currently reading The Book of Beloved by Carolyn Haines. It’s a ghost story that takes place in an old family mansion in Mobile, Alabama. The author, Carolyn Haines, joined us at our Zoom book club meeting last week to discuss another of her books, Them Bones. Carolyn is a very good and prolific writer. If you like mystery stories or ghost stories, check her out of Amazon.

Two of my friends from quilt guild, an elderly husband and wife, were diagnosed this week with Covid. So far, they appear to be having a mild case. They’re at home. With all the opening up, socializing, and mingling that’s taking place in many states, the virus seems to have got a new head of steam. In Alabama, hundreds of new cases a day are being reported (some days more than 1,000). Many people are dying. America is one sick nation these days.

Stay safe, everyone. I’m heading back to the needle and thread.

Love your two new millifiori blocks and the teddy bears and angels you find when you look closely! You're doing a wizard job on choosing the fabrics, fussy cutting the cute designs, and doing the hand piecing. I'm glad to hear this is a fun and interesting quilt for you to make. Hope your hands keep on keeping on until the quilt is finished. Methinks it will be an award winner at the guild show!

Hope Skipper's hiney is feeling lots better soon.

Yes, covid cases are on the rise due to some idiot in Washington pretending it's over because he said so. DUH! MAy we all remember this on Election Day. Register to vote if you haven't already done so. Hope your friends so have very mild cases.

Hugs!
