Witch Number Three
I found an instruction on one page of the directions for "Garden Ladies" that I had missed before. It says that when each block is finished, It should be trimmed to 10 1/2" x 12 1/2". So that will theoretically take care of the size differences in the blocks. I say "theoretically" because one of my blocks already didn't quite meet the 10 1/2" width for all rows. But the quilt will be sashed,, so I figure I can adjust the sashing widths as needed to work out this little quirk.
A word to the wise: If you are a beginner quilter, don't try this pattern until you have some quilting miles under your belt. The instructions are not perfect. You have to do some analytical thinking on this one. I'm not saying it rises to the level of "difficult," but if you haven't made a few quilts already, you could get confused. Actually, I've made many, many quilts, and I've been confused with this pattern. Some of the cutting instructions aren't even complete, so I had to fill in for one of these three blocks. I don't know what surprises the rest of the block patterns might hold. But the little extra thinking is going to be worth the effort, I think, when all my witches are dressed and ready to fly.

Love Witch #3! Thanks for the good advice, too.
I'm late seeing this post so will wish you a Hally 4th of July! We're having hot dogs with slaw, baked beans corn on the cob, deviled eggs, and banana pudding! We'll also watch "1776" because we always do.
Hugs!
