Witch Number Two

Withes1

I got my second witch stitched this morning. I haven’t decided how many blocks this quilt will have yet. Maybe twelve. Maybe just nine for a small piece. Maybe w0, but no more than that. It depends on how quickly I get tired of making witches. Right now, I’m having great fun with them.

Question: Have any of you used Freddy Moran’s “Garden Ladies” pattern? If so, did you find that the rows don’t turn out to be the same width. That’s what I’m finding out. I’ve had to trim both of these two blocks to even up their sides. However, they turned out after trimming to be pretty much the same size. So maybe that’s how Freddy planned it.

Love Witch #2 and her dress fabric is spot on!

I've never seen this book or used any of Freddy's patterns.

Are you sure this quilt shouldn't be named Witchy Women?!

Hugs!

Oh, and perhaps you should make them all, then trim to one size. Perhaps?

Maybe you can make extra blocks to help with the size difference? Looked at your picture of the pattern. On that right page, they have made the quilt with other blocks also. No clue, just a thought. I have very limited quilting skills!

Cute quilt! Good to see you doing another project. I finished a baby quilt and ready to get back to Farmer's Wife 1930. Love puzzles and putting the fabrics together.
