An Icy Day in the Neighborhood

Snow-Sleet-Freezing-Rain
We got a little bit of it all last night.

The weatherman had warned for several days of a winter weather event, so of course I was looking forward to giant fluffy snowflakes resulting in a white landscape and neighborhood snowmen galore. Didn't get it. We got freezing rain, a few flakes, but mostly sleet. I think this is the most sleet I can remember. It covered the ground last night, but much of it is gone this morning. Evaporated, I guess, because I'm sure nothing is melting out there. It's cold as a grave-digger's destination. When we got up this morning, Skipper went out, ran down to the bottom of the back steps, did a quick tinkle, and ran back up.

After a shower, I'm going back up to the sewing room to work on the Cindy Lou Schnibble. I figured out that I had not made a mistake after all. So I don't have to redo any blocks.

We have about 6" of wet, heavy snow and it's still snowing. COLD, here, too, so it won't melt very soon.

Hugs!
