Today we celebrate Skipper Lou Blue's 6th birthday. Truth to tell, we really don't know the exact date of Skipper's birthday, nor his exact age.
It's all guesswork.
You see, when he came to live at The Yellow House in July of 2011, Dr. Rachel estimated his age to be between one and two years old. So when Sophie's birthday came around the next January, we decided that since we didn't know Skipper's birthday, he could share Sophie's and we would count him
as two years old.
As time went by, however, Skipper became dissatisfied with sharing his birthday and wanted one of his very own. So this year, Skipper's birthday has been moved to January 12. Now everybody has his own birthday. Nobody has to share. Well, except for Taco and Bella, who were actually born on the same day and don't seem to have a problem with sharing--as long was each one gets his own treats.
So Happy Birthday, Mr. Skipper. Life got really interesting when you moved in.
