Kinder and Gentler Winter Storm

The snow started here just before dark last night. I didn't think about taking a photo until it had already begun to melt this morning. This one was a fluffy wet snow that draped trees and bushes but apparently didn't freeze to the roads like the one two weeks ago. This time, I've heard of no stranded motorists or impounded vehicles. And Jesse was already off to work by the time I got up this morning.

The sun is out now, so all the white stuff should be gone in a few hours.

We weren't so lucky here in SC. Been snowing since Tuesday and isn't letting up yet. Almost a foot of snow on the ground and lots more falling as I type. The snow cream was delicious though. Only 36 days till Spring!!!!

Lovely picture of your snowy neighborhood and I am glad to hear all is well there. Snow day! Enjoy being tucked in away from the mush of meltdown.

We got about 7" of snow with ice on top and it's melting somewhat but more is enroute this afternoon and evening. What frozen stuff it will be if it comes at all remains to be seen.

If I get myself in gear, I could sew 4 simple blocks from winter fabrics and would be quite pleased with myself for accomplishing that. I think I can, etc!

Stay cozy!

Hugs!

That's the way to have a snow storm. Pretty for a few hours and then gone, without causing a bunch of trouble!!
