The native oak leaf hydrangeas that Vann and I planted when we first moved here are blooming.
I arose early this morning, and after a cup of coffee or two or three, delivered my quilts to Homewood for judging in preparation for the quilt show this coming weekend.

And my daisies are blooming too.
Back home, what looks to be a day of laundry has begun.
I hear thunder somewhere in the distance, but the sun is shining here. Could be thundershowers on the way.
With so much pain problems these days, work on Granny Square blocks has slowed to a crawl. I have 64 completed now. I'm going to try to get another done today, in between changing out loads in the washer and dryer.
I have an epidural scheduled for Friday, June 28. I'm really counting on this procedure to give me at least a few pain-free days. I'm trying to prioritize things I want to do when/if I'm free of pain.

My Easter lily is a very late sleeper. She has just now peeked her heads through the fence.
A trip to the beach would be nice. I haven't been in almost two years, and I could use some time soaking up salt air and sunshine. Well, salt air. I have to admit, I avoid the sun most of the time.
But there are numerous chores that need doing around the house and yard. And things I just want to do around the house and yard. I want to plant my old wheelbarrow to look something like the one below.

My wheelbarrow is not this old, and it's blue.
And my sewing room could really use a serious cleaning and reorganization. Maybe I should just put all the possibilities in a hat and draw them out one by one. That would be my priorities, and I would work on them until the pain returns.
Or I could just start with the beach and see what develops after that.

What lovely photos of your flowers and shrubs! I wish for hydrangeas but seem to have no luck growing them in our clay soil.
The plantings in the old wheelbarrow are so cute! Since your wheelbarrow is blue, maybe cheery orange impatiens or an impatiens mix would bloom happily all summer with minimum effort on your part.
I join in your hope for good results from the epidural! Perhaps you should plan a crock pot meal for that night in case you are very tired from the experience?
It's laundry day here, too. As I've said before, I love to have a load in the washer, a load in the dryer, and then I take a nap. What a great way to multi-task! I recommend it.
Hugs!

Susan, I am keeping you in my prayers for some pain relief and help from this procedure. When you are feeling better, I think you should start with some relaxing "ME" time where ever you choose to go, with or without company. Sometimes it's nice to be by yourself and do exactly as you please. No particular plans in mind once you get there. After that, you would come home refreshed and see things with new eyes, then maybe it would be easier to decide what you wanted to get done first. Be sure to let us know how your feeling. Gentle Hugs...

OOPS, meant to tell you how gorgeous your flowers are. Daisies were my mothers favorite and every time I see them, she pops into my head, working in her Daisies and bringing handfuls in to put around the house. They were all over the yard and it always looked so "Happy"! Thanks for sharing the photos :o)

Your hydrangeas look especially lovely. I love to dry those. And the photo with the flowers in the old wheelbarrow is great. Old wheelbarrows and old wagons make great planters. Hope you feel better soon

I say take a trip to the beach and do nothing but rest and relax. My sister and I spent a week at Nags Head recently doing just that. It was wonderful and good for both of us. There is something about the sound of the waves that is so relaxing, I'm betting your other projects will still be waiting when you get back, but you will have more energy to tackle them.

Your flowers are gorgeous. Thanks for sharing them. I hope the epidural is effective. Being in pain just sucks ones energy and it takes so much effort to deal with it that everything else just falls by the wayside. You have great courage to keep on keeping on through the pain. Take care.

I vote BEACH! I admit, I'm not at ALL a beach person except in October or November, but the change of atmosphere/pace may make you feel great! The flowers? Beautiful!

Definitely the BEACH, if that's what you crave. It's definitely hot and sunny down here, albeit humid too. All the other things will still be there later. Your garden is lovely.
