A Little Show, A Little Tell

Below are photos from the guild meeting show-and-tell last Monday. I didn't stay for the actual show-and-tell part of the meeting, so I don't have a lot of information on the photos I did take. But they should be nice eye candy anyway.

Don't know the name of this, but it looks a bit like some kind of variation of Storm at Sea. Isn't it beautiful?

Sneak peek at Donation Quilt 2014, made by our talented Virginia B. We'll be naming this beauty next month. Any suggestions?

The animals and I have had the house to ourselves this weekend. Jesse is off on a buggy ride with some friends.

I have spent the weekend being very lazy. Except for tending to the furbabies and reading a bit, I really haven't done much.

Today I'm going to attend church and meet our new pastor, Brother Dee. I have "met" him already by way of Facebook. He even said a prayer for me. I think I'm going to like him. I'm looking forward to meeting his wife, too. She is also a pastor of a Methodist church, so I don't know if I'll meet her this morning or not. She will probably be tending her flock.

Happy Sunday, everyone. And happy Father's Day. I'm missing all my family's fathers this morning.

Name the guilt Versailles because the pattern matches the floors inside of the palace. The floors are wood and masonry, all shaped in that pattern.

I was going to suggest Diamonds are Forever as the Donation quilt's name, but it's interesting that Versailles has a floor like this.

Love the other wonderful quilts, and like you said, great eye candy from talented, imaginative quilters!

You're wise to be taking it easy and am hoping all went well today.

We're missing our fathers around here, too.

Hugs!

No matter how MUCH we care for those with whom we share a home, it's REALLY wonderful to have a day all to ourselves sometimes. I haven't had the house to myself since my housemate (Ray) retired on February 13, 2009. That's a LOOOOOOONG time to have someone up your ... errr ...around you EVERY.SINGLE.DAY.! (Bless his heart.) The last sentence - as you- know - represents a lil' Southern sarcasm. LOL! Love the beautiful quilties - 'specially the kitty one! Also, love YOU! And how was the new pastor?
