Today my all-American, Yankee Doodle Schnoodle, Sophie Belle Patterpaw, is 11 years old. This is her birthday picture, taken this morning. She's telling you this is what she thinks of birthdays.
I tried to find photos of Baby Sophie, but I can't remember where I put the box that they're in. Vann and I took a snowy trip to Warwick, New York, in March of 2002 to collect our girl. It was the best trip ever. And we came home with a furry ball of fun.
Happy birthday, Sophie girl. I know PopPop is wishing you the same.
"Don't forget me! I can stick my tongue out too." Indeed, you can Skipper. Since we don't know when your birthday is, we've declared January 11 to be yours too. You are officially 4 years old today. Happy birthday, my crazy terrier.
It's not Taco's birthday, but I thought I'd showing your how he's celebrating Sophie's and Skipper's.
I would like to get a photo of all four of the beasts together. I might try that this afternoon. I'll let you know how it goes. Don't get your hopes up.

A belated Happy Birthday to all who celebrated yesterday! Sophie looks so cute with her tongue sticking out. Perhaps that's what she thinks of cameras? Skipper is clearly the bundle of youthful energy he always is. Methinks he has no idea how fortunate he was to be chosen to join your household.
Taco is doing what cats do best, sleep comfortably almost anywhere. Boots has taken to sleeping among the yet-to-be-boxed Christmas decor on the dining room table. My spoon supply remains to be far too quickly exhausted but today I did box the Christmas mugs so there is one less box for Boots to snuggle against.
