Nothing but good news from the vet's office yesterday when I picked up the doggies. Dr. H. said that's Skipper's eye was back to perfectly normal. No scratches remained. I guess Sophie and I are pretty good doggie docs, although I feel like I got more of Skipper's eye ointment on me and the rest of his body than I got in his eye. The boy does not like to be doctored.
They sure were glad to see me. They gave me no trouble about getting in the car. But Skipper would not sit on his side. He insisted in sitting in my lap, and nothing I could do would convince him that driving that way was dangerous and that it might even get us a traffic ticket if an officer saw us. He wasn't taking any chances of me getting away from him again. Sophie rode beside me with her muzzle up against my shoulder.
Sophie got a haircut and nails filed. She looks much more comfortable now. I know, I know, in the photo above she looks humiliated and sad, doesn't she? Don't buy it. That's just her look for when she wants someone to feel sorry for her and give her a treat.
Mary has the "Love Birds" quilt embroidery done. I'm going to pick it up this afternoon. I'll take it to the quilter Thursday, probably. Lena's shop is closed on Wednesday, and I don't have the backing ready to take it today.
Cleaning lady supposed to be here by now. But long ago I learned that she'll be here when she gets here. I think I'll go and have another cup of coffee.

Glad to hear skippers eye is looking better :) and sweet Sophie is so much like my Gracie:) Too cute! Love our animals :))
In all the years we have lived at our home my Gracie for the first time got several tick bites this last week yucky :( poor baby...she needs a haircut like Sophie but now we will wait until she heals from the bites. My other animals no bites?! Which is good news!....Maybe I missed a dose of the preventive medicine, not sure I am thinking it was from the new sod installed in the backyard. She loves to sleep on her back in the sun.
Hugs to you sweet Susan!

Cheers that Skipper's eye has healed and that he is free of the annoying collar that protected it!
I had to laugh about Skipper sitting in your lap and Sophie resting her chin on your shoulder when en route home yesterday. Of the two dogs that made long car trips with us, both were convinced that a car seat without one of their humans sitting there would NOT go where the rest of the car went. I shared a bucket seat in a Vega with a big mutt when we drove from Memphis to Richmond before we had kids. We had a used Suburban when out family of four drove from Waco to Memphis with our beloved Basset hound, Daisy. She was in her special bed at the back of the Suburban for about two minutes into the trip. Then came a scramble over luggage (visualize those short Basset legs!) to get into the middle seat between the two boys and that's where Daisy rode. Apparently snuggled between two boys is the very definition of Dog Heaven!
Hugs!

Sophie sure doesn't look like the same dog. In previous post I wondered if you had gone and gotten another dog. Too funny. Tell her she looks very pretty. Glad to hear that Skipper's eye is better.
