Late again. Sorry. I just seem to be slightly disorganized these days--in addition to having too many things to do, mostly my own fault.
But anyway, here's my report. I'm still piddling with my Mama Memory Quilt (Through the Looking Glass Challenge).

I don't like this. I'm taking the lace off. It's just not working.

Your Mama's Memory quilt is coming along beautifully! This is such a lovely memento of your sweet mother and each photo is wonderful. Where will you hang it when it's finished?
The lace does call attention to itself and away from the balance of the other photo blocks, doesn't it?
I made so little UFO progress this week it wasn't worth reporting: one simple border added to a 12" block. I also made two Twinkling Star blocks (from the book Favorite Christmas Quilts from That Patchwork Place) but they're for new projects.
The giveaways sound like fun! I'm off to visit Lisa and Judy.
Hugs!

Your Memory Quilt is beautiful and emotional. I agree, the lace does distract from the photos...maybe do like the other blocks, put a thin frame around it instead of the lace. You have done a marvelous job with this challenge!
I have linked up!

I agree with the others, although I love lace, I like the way you did the other blocks. Maybe use the piece of lace on the back to border your label or maybe the story behind your quilt, your mother and why you made the quilt. Wouldn't Jesse's children or grandchildren get a thrill to read the story you wrote about the quilt. I love what you have done so far and can't wait to see the finished quilt. You have made me very curious about Monday, I check your blog everyday so I will be back to see what up on Monday. I don't win very many giveaways but I love to enter. Will start checking out your friends blogs, hopefully they will be as good as yours.

It is truly coming together nicely. I agree with the others that the lace, although pretty, is too much for the photos and detracts rather than enhances.
