Yesterday, Andy and I had to take Miss Lucy to the vet's office where we told her goodbye. Lucy was 18 years old and had been with Andy and Jesse for most of Jesse's life. I know they'll miss this sweet girl. I'm so glad they have Boots and Ruby to keep them company now.
We put her to rest among the azaleas in my back yard. That's where Andy wanted to bury her. We have her protected from Skipper's digging, so don't anybody panic.
Rest in peace, little Lucy.

Andy and Jesse will sure miss Lucy, as will the new kittens. So sorry that her life is over, but happy memories must be many.

It is such a challenge when the time comes to say goodbye to our "furry lovebugs". They bring so much joy to our lives. I, too, had to say goodbye to my 18 year old cat, Puff, a few years back. I still miss her everyday even though I have other "furriness" around me. Condolences to all of you. I love your blog.

My sympathy to all who loved sweet Miss Lucy and who will miss her loving presence. It is so hard to say good-bye to these beloved furry friends when it's time for them to leave us. Cry all you need to. As my Grandma used to say, "Tears show clear what the heart holds dear."
I understand all too well. I'm remembering KC (Kitty Cat), Punkin, Daisy, and Toby. Each loved, each gone, but each also loving remembered and living on in family stories.

I'm so sorry. Thinking about Little Darcy still makes me cry. Our pets are a blessing, and when they're gone, they leave a big empty place.

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of Miss Lucy, she was beautiful. It never gets easier losing our beloved fur-babies. I hope in time you and Andy will be able to take comfort in just remembering that because of you both Miss Lucy had a wonderful home and a blessed life.

Susan, I'm so, sorry to hear your daughter and grandson lost their beloved cat. It's hard to let a pet go and I know you're all grieving her loss. We're all keeping you in our thoughts at such a sad time.
