UFO Progress Report: Week 4 (2012)

Book1I'm proud of my report this week. I got a lot done. I finished my "Africa" fabric book and the cuddle quilt top from the leftover string blocks that I didn't use in the Santa "Family Album" quilt. Today, I'll be that that top, the Santa top, and my "Cherry Lasagna" top to Lena to quilt. Then, if I'm not completed done in, I'll stop by my favorite thrift store, which is on the way home from Lena's. Might find a treasure; who knows?

Below is my UFO Bust Show-and-Tell. I hope some of you have something to report this week. Below my pics, you'll find Mr. Linky. If you're one of our Little Green Quilters, please add your link so we can know what you've been doing this week, progress or not.

WOW! Your Africa book is amazing, wonderful, unique, and astonishing! Love the dancing woman on the cover and all the special touches within the book, on the covers, and the binding. Well done!! Was this book made for a special purpose?

Your Strips and Strings cuddle quilt will delight some little someone as he or she is snug and warm!

You do have a lot of progress to crow about! Applause, applause!

Happy hunting at your favorite thrift shop!

Hugs!

The fabric book is awesome. My favorite is the front cover--I love the prairie points.

Wow! That project is beautiful! I love all the tiny treasures. I don't have much to report except that I'm still here :)

Wow, that is quite an amazing book. I think doing a project like that must inspire such creativity that benefits the brain! Does this book go on display somewhere?
I am going to try to get a post up later today and then I will link up!

Hi Susan ~ what an impressive UFO report! Way to go! Instead of being a Little Green Quilter this week I've been a Little Sleepy Tennis Fan...staying up waay too late and getting up waay too early to watch the matches. Maybe after the last championship game on Sunday I can get back to regular living, sleeping, and sewing! I hope so!

Your Africa book is so visually captivating, I bet that it is a tactile pleasure as well. What a compelling way to tell a story!

I love how animated your string quilt is - congratulations on your UFO progress. I’ve had a little progress this week. I very much appreciate this opportunity as it gives me the necessary structure to finish what I started, rather than giving into the temptation of beginning something new (and then feeling overwhelmed).

Susan, this is one of all time favorite things EVER! I mean, of ALL the things I've seen ANYWHERE since I came online in 2004! I LOVE it!!! You know I am STRONGLY connected to Africa, and say all the time that I know I can never go because I am aware that if I were to so much as place my TOE on African soil, I'd never, never leave. Your book totally blows me away! I'm going to save the pictures you posted of it to MY pictures just so I can LOOK at it all the time. Yes! I AM serious!!! Wonderful, wonderful, beautiful job!!!

Wow. You left a comment on my blog for Pink Sat. So I came here to check you out. I'm amazed at your Africa book. I've never seen anything quite like it! It's just fantastic. Now I have to go and see the rest of your blog and might be here a while.
