I Made a Hat Last Night

Hat2I've been promising to make Ramey a hat for some time now, so last night I just did it. It's crocheted using Cascade Peruvian wool from a pattern called Gulf Shores Hat. It was so quick to make that I might just make another one. I have another skein of the wool yarn in a sort of camel color.

I'm not going to church this morning. I have a prayer group dinner at a friend's house this evening and don't want to risk tiring myself out to early. That might sounds a little silly, but I've learned with the fibro and chronic fatigue to be very stingy with my spoons when possible.

I'm taking Paula Deen Dutch apple pie and vanilla ice cream to share. It's potluck. Good excuse for pie.

Love the hat! My hands don't play nicely together when holding a crochet hook or knitting needles. I've never know why that is, but those skills totally escape me.

You do seem to have everything - I mean, you even have a head on which to display Ramey's lovely new hat. Way to go!

Applause on your wisdom in using your limited spoon supply wisely. It's a bummer, but necessary.

I second what Joanne said, I love pie, too.

Hugs!

Oh my goodness, I love that hat! Looked at the pattern and I think I am going to try it in the bulky yarn, as the first example is made in. I have some bulky weight yarn in a wonderful raspberry color. I'll let you know how it turns out.
Uh, can you send me some of that pie? It may be a tad smashed when it gets here, but that's ok!
I, too, really limit how many places I go or how much I do in a day, due to that fibro monster. It sure can make you feel like a baby at times, but people just need to be understanding, which most people are that I know.
Have a wonderful day.
Hugs....

You sly critter! I had NO idea you can also crochet!!! I love the hat so much! And I hope you have a wonderful prayer group this evening! I'm still giggling over what you wrote concerning Snowbaby & thinking he was a cat! I promise (honest injun - LOL) NEVER to toss a cat in the dryer. NOTE: I tried 4 times to email you last night at both the yahoo AND aol email addresses. They BOTH refused me. Please, could you send me your correct email again? I must be getting SOMETHING wrong! THANKS!!! LOVE YOU!

I never realized you crocheted either! That is something I sure wish I had learned from my grandmother. Your hat turned out to be adorable!
