UFO Progress Report: Week 39

Cottage Quilt1

This quilt turned out nothing like I thought it was going to. Once I got started, it just took over and became a small quilt instead of a wall hanging. Isn't it strange how some projects seem to control the show and become what they want to be in spite of all your plans? But I rather like how it looks. I'm thinking of hand quilting it but haven't decided for sure.

I hope the rest of you Little Green Quilters have been busy this week and have something to show us. Please enter your links in Mr. Linky below.

What a charming quilt you've made from your 1997 Piecemakers Calendar blocks! Love the sashing and the border fabrics and, of course, the sweet cottages are the best part! Applause, applause!!

Just yesterday a friend sent me a tree bark fabric that will be perfect for the tree house block and she also sent two sky fabrics that I didn't have. I keep returning to the bundles of fabrics chosen for each block just to have a fiddle, a re-think, or to play with the fabrics. I think this will be lots of fun!

I'm a bit under the weather today so that's annoying. It's sunny and cool with such a lovely breeze outside and I'd prefer to feel good and be outdoors. Bother! Where is that Insta-Cure pill when you need it?

Be good to you! Hugs!

I've also had one or two projects that took over from me. It's kind of fun when that happens! And then I've got a couple I wish would take over because I'm stumped. LOL

I love the sashing and border you used. They frame the blocks so nicely.

Very nice, Susan! You are going gang-busters on your list! And I always love to come over and read Barbara Anne's comments..she could write a lovely blog. Hope you're feeling better Barbara! Enjoy your weekend, Susan. We have a craft show to set up for, and it's outside--the high will only be 50. We will freeze!

I think it looks great the way it is! Sometimes if we try to make a quilt bigger, it just doesn't work out, like it was "meant to be" the way it is... :)
Have a relaxing retreat!

I'm a day late in posting my UFO progress...I've been fighting a sinus headache all week. Yuk. I love those appliqued blocks!
