The Yellow House is teaming with canines this weekend. Andy came breezing in early yesterday morning with this beautiful mutt in tow and ensconced her in my back yard over my moans and shouts of "Whoa! Whoa!" Andy had picked up this doggie down the road on the busy 119 hwy. I don't blame her for rescuing her. She's such a sweet and loving and beautiful doggie. But thank goodness, my sister Ramey wants her. Ramey is coming by today and we're going to bathe Nellie (this is what Ramey has named her) and take her to the vet to be checked for a microchip. If no chip, we're going to get her shots and have her treated for fleas.
Miss Daisy already had reservations for spend the week with us while her folks went away to celebrate the second anniversary of their marriage.
But all four dogs are being very good--well, except Skipper, who wants to make sure Nellie knows he's the pack leader around here. He snarls and growls at her, even though he isn't even as big as her head. But she listens and cowers accordingly.
Happy weekend to everyone out there in Blogland.

What a beautiful dog. We had one that looked a lot like her. One of the most loyal dogs we have ever had.

What a beautiful dog with those doe eyes. Not easy to resist with those looks. Love the name Nellie makes me think of the soprano with that glorious name Dame Nellie Melba.

Awwwwwww! What soulful eyes Nellie has. I hope her arrival and trip to the vet turn out well for everyone - her owners if she has a chip or Ramey who will have a new family member to love! Nellie was certainly fortunate to be found by Andy.
Happy dog-sitting!
Hugs!

OHHHHH! What a beautiful (and SOFT-LOOKING) doggy! I'm glad Andy found her! (I hope she doesn't have a chip! Andy needs her!) Hello & pats to Ms. Sophie Sweety, Adorable Miss Daisy, and the Leader of the Pack, Cutie-Pie Skipper! To you - BIG HUGS! Kai

What a beautiful sweet face Nellie has. If she has a chip I'm sure her family will be so happy to reunited with her. If she has no chip she's a lucky pup to be found by your family! Send Skipper out to the excavation site and let him work out his energy on the China project!

She sure is beautiful. Are her eyes blue. Wonder what breed she is. I saw some little kids with two tiny beagle puppies standing on a busy street corner last night. The puppies were just all over the place, no leash. I almost took them before they got run over. I am a softie.
