Sometimes I don't feel like I've really "given" unless I do something more with my hands than write a check. Oh I give donations as well--to my church, to our local food pantry, and to other charitable organizations. But I really like it best when I can give a part of my efforts and my abilities. That's why I like to make charity quilts.
Above is the Smackdown quilt I made for Debra's charity. And below is the Quilt of Valor that I made and Debra quilted for a new veterans retirement home that is going up near here.
Update of the white dog: Andy has decided to keep her. Which means I'll be keeping her until Andy is in her new house, with its fenced back yard, in a couple of weeks. So, to shameless rewrite a Les Emmerson classic:
Dogs, dogs, everywhere a dog.
Blocking out the scenery,
Thick as a fog.
"Feed me, scratch my back!
Can't you see we're dogs?"

Beautiful quilts! Wish I was as prolific in the sewing room as you are but I'm not. Love the label, too. Is my slow progress on quilts a lack of self discipline on my part or just plain lazy of me? Please don't answer that!
How nice for Nellie to have a new home with Andy! Ramey can come visit and Nellie can visit her canine cousins any time your dog-sitting service is open for business. Did I hear you say, "OH NO!"? :D
Hope your Sunday is cool and pleasant and that you're feeling good.
Hugs!

Wonderful quilts for charity. I think they're so pretty...not thrown together; made with thought. Everyone deserves the 'best' in my opinion! And, that would include Nellie! What a nice thing for Andy to do for her! Another buddy for Sophie & Skipper, too!

How lovely for both Andy and Nellie. Sounds like it was meant to be.
Lovely quilts.
