I'm moving very slowly this morning. I lay abed for much longer than I should have. Woke up at dawn, lay there till almost 8:00, going in and out of a doze. The dogs were still and quiet, so I decided I'd be the same.
But I'm up now and finally getting around to my Friday UFO report. I got the above quilt bound, one of the ones that Debra quilted for me a while back. It's going to my friend John's new grandson Jake. I haven't seen Jake yet, but I saw a photo and know that he's beautiful.
The quilt pattern for this quilt is called "Slash a Stash." I taught a workshop for it several years ago at my guild. But I can't find my instructions, can't remember how it's done, and can't find an online tutorial. I know it's something about stacking pieces of fabric, cutting, and restacking. That's all the info I have on that.
I also got some more rows of my Autumn Pinwheels UFO done. That one is going very slowly for some reason.
I have a busy day ahead of me. Sophie is scheduled at the groomer's at 12:30, and I have book club at 1:30, then I'll have to pick Sophie up. I really miss Diane coming to our house in her van to groom Sophie. As I mentioned some time back, Diane is undergoing treatment for lung cancer and so cannot work right now. She expected to be back on the job in August, but I haven't heard from her since June. I think I'll give her a call and see how things are going with her. We miss her. Well, I do. Actually, Sophie hated to see her coming and would run hide under the dining table.
Below is Mr. Linkey for those of you members of the UFO Bust who would like to let everyone know what you've been up to. Remember, you don't have to even have UFO progress to add your link--just be a member of the Bust.

Moving slowly here, too, but happily it's cooler today. That is a joy!
Love the happy, colorful Slash-a-Stash quilt you've finished! Well done! Hope the pattern surfaces again soon.
No sewing progress here other than finishing the binding on the little red/black/cream Churn Dash quilt that had quilt clips on it in the photo of last week's progress. When the garden and preserving are finished for the season, I'll have more time to sew - I hope.
Hugs!

Oh, and I'm wishing Diane well!
Where is the "edit" option when you need it?
:)

Susan, I think it's called Stack N Whack quilting and there are several websites to the process. You did a great job on the quilt. Hope your friend is doing well. Have a great weekend.

Good grief! I posted my progress early this morning but am just now remembering to come enter my link. I've been a bit distracted this week with a neighbor issue.
I believe I have the directions for the quilt in the picture. My mom shared them with me a couple years ago. When I emptied my sewing room to paint and reorganize recently I found stacks of patterns and directions for things. I can't believe it, but I actually put them in clear plastic folders and put them in binders. I'll look through my binders some time and send you the pattern if you want.

Looking good, Susan! That looks like a really fun quilt. I'm still struggling to make progress on my UFOs. Summer is just so busy (and usually it's my slow time, when I can quilt more often!). Hope you're feeling better and moving better now!

I don't remember seeing this UFO before! It is colorful, and I like the pattern. Can't be too hard to figure out.
Anyways, I did link up with the post I did on Wednesday, hoping it counts. Daughter dismantled my sewing area (otherwise known as the dining room table) in order to play games with her visiting cousin. oh, well.

Hi Susan ~ I don't remember this particular UFO quilt either. I like it...very colorful!
I'm late posting this week...getting straight after our anniversary trip...but at least I did some UFO-ing while we were away!

Today will be my third day at the Fair with the Guild quilt display and we've been working on our new "shops" here at home, so my post isn't to current. I also took an experimental mini quilt to the fair...will post about it later.

The fabric colors & design so remind me of G'ma Maggie's oldl quilt. Beautiful!
