Seeing Pink

4269136508_86f463d642

Please be sure to visit Beverly''s Pink Saturday this week. She's helping raise money for another Miracle Makeover, and you can help just by leaving a comment.

Thanks to Lynn and Wanda for offering to send me a copy of their Slash a Stash patterns (see yesterday's post). But just as I was thanking them by email, I remembered where I put mine. I went to see, and there it was. So now there are at least three of us who have Slash a Stash patterns if anybody wants one.

I saw seven little yellow butterflies yesterday on my way to take Sophie to the groomer. So my Autumn feeling a couple of days ago was right on schedule. I feel so much better just knowing that my favorite time of year is just around the corner.

We had a great book club meeting yesterday at the beautiful home of my friend Jean M. I love going to her home. It's all decorated in the most beautiful colors: yellow, blue, just a touch of red. And the goodies she serves are out of this world. Our dessert yesterday was homemade sour cream pound cake with devonshire clotted cream. Oh and the most delicious raspberry tea I've ever tasted. She told us her secret for that. She just emptied an envelope of Crystal Light Raspberry into a pitcher of plain tea, and voila! Next time I go to the store, I'm getting some CL Raspberry.

We've decided to take the fall and holiday months off from book club and regroup in January. Everyone is so busy during this time of year, and I think too that we're all a little weary of book club. I believe the break will do us good.

I think I might try to finish up my Autumn Pinwheels quilt today. That's not a definite, but I'm thinking on it. I really want to read, but I also want to get that quilt off my UFO list. We'll see. Have a great weekend, everyone.

What lovely flowers you have for us to enjoy!! Thank you!

Cheers that you found your quilt pattern and I'd like to have it, too, please.

Today is cooler with a chance of rain and I saw two yellow butterflies so am excited to anticipate autumn's coming, too. Bliss!

Thanks, too, for the raspberry tea recipe.

Glory be! IT IS RAINING!!

Hugs!

Hi Sweetie...
What a beautiful share today. I love Crystal Light raspberry and I have never tried it in a pitcher along with my regular. How wonderful that sounds. I can't wait to try this. I will let you know how it works out for me. Being an insulin diabetic this would be perfectly legal for me as well. Yummy.

I wish Autumn feelings were headed here to the valley in Phoenix, but alas we still have hot, Hot and HOT. No change.

Thank you for sharing with me sweet friend.

This is the Miracle Weekend makeover. I am one of the hosting sites. For every comment left, Guideposts magazine will pay a dollar, to the next cancer makeover patient. Please stop by and read the story about 9 year old Charlie, and bless me with a comment. Out goal between the 4 or 5 blogs is 5,000. I know we can do it. I would appreciate it, if you pass the word around to as many friends as possible.

Thank you sweetie for a wonderful post. I love it. Have a glorious weekend. Country hugs from Phoenix, Sherry

Susan, I so appreciate your participation and support.

Thank you for sharing the raspberry tea tip. I know it is something we would love. I keep a box of the Crystal Light packets at my office so I can add them to a bottle of water. One of those is my self treat every day.

Thank you for participating in this very special Pink Saturday. I hope your visitors will come over to comment and help us to raise more money for the next Miracle Makeover. The good news is that you can leave a comment each day through the 18th, and each comment earns $1.00. So, please come comment again and again.
