UFO Progress Report: Week 14/Pink Saturday

Crazy-grandma I know y'all think I have completely lost my mind. Why didn't somebody tell me yesterday was Friday, Progress Report Day. I spent all day yesterday thinking it was Thursday. I was even in the bathtub last evening when Diane came to groom Sophie. She had to call me on her cell phone from the driveway to get me to the door. Does the term "crazy old lady" seem appropriate here?

I'm sorry, soooooo sorry.

If people keep dying and stuff around me, I just might go 'round the bend for good. But for now, I think I have it together again. Saturday, Pink Saturday at that. So be sure to check out Beverly's Blog Party if you're fond of pink.

OK, so now for the UFO Progress Report:

UFO2
The bunny quilt is at the quilter's.

UFO3

UFO4
***

UFO1
Hand-embroidered details complete on The Jungle Quilt

Now I have to go and make two dozen deviled eggs for Uncle Chester's family's luncheon at the church today. Then get ready and attend his funeral at 2:00. Again, I'm so sorry for the delay on the UFO Report. Below is Mr. Linky. Please add your link if you're playing with us so we can visit and see what you've been up to this week.

Is that a Cuban cigar? Hmmm...I am so sorry for your loss and all the losses in your life lately. But keep keeping on as we said in the 60s. Life is such a constant battle. I enjoy your blog immensely and hope you have a goo day and all goes well. Love that lady and her cigar! HPS too!

I'm so sorry to hear how difficult things are for you right now. Seems like there is a lot of that going on. But we keep clinging to comforting and encouraging Bible verses that remind us of the fact that no matter what, God is in control! And what lovely quilts. Wouldn't my grandkids love it as well! Praying for you today!

Sorry - didn't realize it posts the most recent at the top - the note was still in so I thought I hadn't pressed hard enough :). But the good thing is that it led to me spotting your heart tutorial. Thank you for that. I'll have to save that to help me when I am teaching my grandkids more about crochet.

I'm so very sorry for your loss, and what has become a season of loss in your life.

Your rabbit quilt is gorgeous! My daughter was sitting on my lap and thought the crazy lady was funny, and enjoyed looking at the quilt!

I don't think any of us had the heart to tell you it was Friday, with all that you've been going thru lately so we just cut you a little slack!!! Anyway, all's well that ends well. The bunny quilt is beautiful!!

I think with all that's going on in your life at the moment a lost day or two is neither here nor there...take care and have a good weekend!

Sweetie, you know we understand you've been reeling from all the sadness of the recent losses you've endured. Posting the UFO progress just one day late is no big deal so fret not!

Love the Crazy Lady but I love your quilts more! Those little triangles in the bunny block corners are such a charming touch and the embroidered features on your jungle critters are adorable! You are so talented!

Yep, no borders sewn on any UFO here, but it's chilly and damp from overnight storms so plan to do that today.

Big hugs!

When I saw your Bunny Quilt my mouth dropped open. It is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. The colors and design are fabulous. It is soooo rich looking. Thank you for sharing.

I felt the same as Sandy - didn't have the heart to add another thing to your list. Doesn't really matter anyway. The bunny quilt is so sweet! And I really like the bright jungle animals!

You deserved a day 'off' and if that's how you got it; so be it!! The crazy lady is hysterical...sort of a real-life 'Maxine' from the Hallmark cards! Your quilts are beautiful and I'm guessing your deviled eggs are delicious! yummmmm!!!! I think Sandy was right about no one wanting to tell you it was already Friday! Take care of yourself!

No you are not crazy. But in the event you were, so would I be. I get my days mixed up all the time. That shot of that women is certainly crazy. There is not much of anything I enjoy more than quilts. I have not seen one like your bunny. I would love having one like it. I have too many now, but still want them all. Time is a great healer.

Hi Susan ~ sorry you got your days mixed up but no problem as far as the UFO post! I didn't have anything to report. :( I put myself on Mr. Linky and wrote a post to say I'd keep plugging. Love your quilt and know you're happy it's at the quilters! Take care of yourself this weekend.

I often get the days mixed up so you are not alone. That bunny quilt is absolutely stunning!!!!
Hope your day is a good one despite the sadness of a funeral - I am sure that Uncle Chester will be missed by his friends and family.

LOL...I figured you just needed a break with everything that's been going on and that you didn't have it in you to do it on Friday! I didn't want to say something, because I didn't want you to feel bad or pressured. I just figured I'd wait till Saturday to post my link, and then I forgot to do it! LOL. See, I'm as bad as you are. Hope today is a better day for you. It's finally warm here. We went from 40 degrees on Friday to 80 degrees today. That's a Michigan spring for you...right into summer! We will probably be back to winter this week. LOL. Hang in there, Susan!

See, look how bad I am. I forgot to mention how much I love your bunnies and your jungle quilt! they are both looking good! I can't wait to see the bunny one when it comes back from the quilter. The jungle blocks just keep getting cuter and cuter!

I remember when you started that one; turned out so beautiful - will you have it back before the Easter Bunny comes around?
Sorry to read about all the sadness but I see you are keeping your face to the sunshine and not pulling the covers over your head - well, at least, not every day, huh? You are inspiring in all you get done. Must be that pup that keeps you smiling.
I love the handkerchiefs done as a valance. Looks easy. Sending you hugs,
:Diane
