April Show & Tell

Yesterday was the day of the April meeting of Birmingham Quilters Guild. The meeting was devoted to preparation for our big quilt show in June. But first, we were treated to a great Show-and-Tell session. Below are some of the goodies that members displayed.

More goodies for the boutique: yoyo magnets

Last night was another stormy night. Andy came up to stay with me. I'm beginning to wonder if she thinks I need company during stormy weather, or if she does. Oh well, we had a nice visit while we watched various local weather people tell us that there was either a tornado imminent--or not. Miss Daisy, who is visiting us again, took advantage of Andy's lap as shelter from the storm. Daisy gets very nervous during storms. Sophie and Skipper can't figure out what the big deal is.

We had  some rain, lots of lightning, and a little wind--but again, thank God, no tornado. We fared well. And we never lost electricity, although I hear there are tens of thousands of folks in Alabama who were not so lucky.

On the agenda today is getting fabric off to Deborah M. to make binding for all those quilts that Debra S. quilted for me. Debra S. tipped me off about Deborah M. and her binding-making skills. If you have need of someone to make some binding for you, let me know and I'll give you Deborah M's email address.

6a00d8341cbb0053ef014e86de6ddd970d-400wi Now, before I close for the day, I want to thank all of you who sent Ms. Edna Quick cards to help her celebrate her birthday. Edna's sister Ella, after bestowing upon my person a big old hug, told me yesterday that Edna got tons of cards from all over the country and all over the world and is, in fact, still receiving cards.

You all have demonstrated what I've known for a long time: bloggers are awesome. Thanks again from me, Ella, and especially Edna.

I hope all of you out there have a terrific Tuesday.

Glad you, Andy, Miss Daisy, Sophie, and Skipper fared well during the storm. We have rain forecast for today, tonight, and tomorrow morning so hope we fare as well.

I'm delighted to hear that Miss Edna received so many cards! What could be better?!

Hugs!
