In spite of the dramas and heartbreaks of the past week, I have managed to make a bit of progress on The Jungle Quilt. I finished blanket stitching the Hippo and created the Elephant block too. I have started on the Zebra block, the last block in the quilt, but don't have it to a stage to be photographed yet. I also made a few more hexie flowers. I think I have 27 or 28 now.
Jesse's birthday dinner was lots of fun. Andy had made a chocolate cake and served it with Neopolitan ice cream (Jesse's request) after we had our steaks.
Below is Mr. Linky. If you're a UFO Buster/Little Green Quilter, be sure to sign in so we can all see what you've been doing this week.

Hi Susan ~ I know you've had a hard week...and yet you still made some progress. Way to go!! I've been out of town and made NO progress. I did write a post today but had to say there was nothing to show--next week for sure!

Sorry to hear you have had a hard week. I have been traveling so I am behind in my blog reading. I posted my UFO update yesterday, as my very first tutorial for my very first own design is posting today. I'm nervous. Wish me luck. I only had a little to show, but it was a little progress anyway! :-)

LOVE your hippo and elephant blocks! You do create such charming, fun blocks for kids. Applause!
You are really going to town on those hexy blocks. Wonder how many you'll make and how you'll put them together?
Hope I have something to show next week, too.
Hugs!

I love your blocks, the fabric you used for the elephants ear is gorgeous! I'm itching for this semester to be over so I can actually focus on UFOs.
I am so sorry you have had such a hard week, I hope that next week is better. You are in my thoughts.

Susan,
Losing a loved one is always so sad.
Your Jungle quilt is adorable! I didn't have much to show this week except some of my UFO's or WIP's. Maybe next week I will more productive!
Hugs,
Donna

Those are two very adorable jungle blocks! They reminded me of the monsters quilt..not listed in the UFOs, so it must be finished. I can't remember, but that one was adorable too!
