Happy Easter; Happy Passover

Jewish Seder Meal

Thank you, God, for holy days that remind us just how much you love us and of all the blessings you bestow on us. Let us always remember that no matter by what name we call ourselves--whether Christian, Jewish, Muslim, Buddhist, Atheist, or simply Child of God--we all belong to you. You put us here to love each other because in loving each other, we love you. Help us to do that on this most holy of holiday weekends.

I don't know how I'm going to get through this weekend. I'm hosting my family tomorrow for our Easter dinner, and I'm sitting here wondering if I can get everything done.

I had a brief respite from the fibro symptoms yesterday morning. So I drove over to Centerpoint to my friend Lena's to pick up "Flutterbugs" and drop off "The Jungle Quilt." I also stopped by Walmart for some grocery shopping. By the time I got home and unloaded the groceries, I felt as if a whole convoy of freight trucks had run over me, not just one. I had hopes of waking up this morning with energy and ability to clean and cook. Didn't happen. At least not yet.

I do pretty good as long as I'm sitting. But when I get up and try to walk, I sort of sway and jerk around and bump into everything. This is not good. This is not good at all.

But Happy Easter and Passover, everyone. May God shower you with his most wonderful blessings.

Linking to Beverly's Pink Saturday, where everyone is celebrating the weekend in all kinds of colors.

Wishing you well, my friend. Perhaps the Easter menu can be adjusted to crock pot dishes, take out, or a pot luck if you continue to feel bad? Can you assemble ingredients and then sit to make each needed dish? I'd come help if we lived closer but maybe you wouldn't want my germs...?

May the God of love and peace cause us to live out love and peace each day. He is Risen indeed!

Hugs!

Hello Susan, A very Happy Easter to your and yours. Don't worry about the cleaning - it is family - they understand. As for the cooking perhaps everyone can pitch in - after all it is the getting together that counts.

I will be over early to help you get things in order. Stop worrying so much. And, I think you need to check in with the doc next week about being so off balance. Physically, I mean. Not much we can do about the other. It's a family trait you know? :) Love you! Happy Easter!

HAPPY EASTER, Lil' Susan! I love you and feel sad that you are still in pain! Mean old Fibromonster. YAY, Andy! What a sweetheart she is! I'd do a cheer, but I don't want to start an earthquake. LOL! As far as your worries about all the cooking, etc., everyone else SAID it and said it beautifully! Just enjoy & do whatever you are ABLE to do.

Happy Pink Saturday, Susan. I am so glad you had a nice Easter with your family.

Easter is my favorite holiday. I love the sense of renewal of life that it offers.

I just ordered the book on Amazon for $2.98. There were several other copies if people want one! (I think 7 total, minus the one I bought.) Thanks for the lead. I like those older books!
