This is the UFO I worked on this week, The Jungle Quilt for my friend Falicia's baby boy. His nursery is decorated in jungle prints, so when I saw this pattern I decided I should make it for him. The Monkey Block is finished except for hand embroidery, and the Hippo Block is cut out and ready to fuse and machine blanket stitch. There will also be an Elephant Block and a Zebra Block.
In other sewing (non-UFO), I have now completed 21 English paper-pieced hexie flowers while watching night-time tv.
Blogless Barbara reports that she is back to UFO busting in a big way, working on her Tree of Life quilt and paper-pieced fans.
All you UFO Busters with blogs, be sure to add you link below so we can all check in with you and see what you've been up to.
P.S. Thanks to all of you who have sent Ms. Edna Quick birthday cards. If you haven't read about this sweet lady's special day coming up, please go here and consider sending her a card.

Wow. I gotta tell you I LOVE that monkey block! It is just awesome. I liked the quilt a little when you showed the book, but now that I see you making it up, I really adore it! Nicely done!
You got that many hexie flowers done watching TV?! I have always wanted to do something with hexies but can't get off my duff to get started. Maybe after I bust out a few of my UFOs. I never dreamed it could move along that fast. Thanks for inspiring me!
I made baby steps on my UFO progress this week. But any forward movement is good, right?!

Hi Susan ~ great job on your jungle quilt. Now that's a bright and colorful project! That should keep you motivated to keep at it--it would me!
And way to go, Barbara, with your Tree of Life quilt! I think everyone is encouraged by all the UFO-ing going on!

Love the Jungle quilt blocks! That hippo has such a personable face and I cannot wait to see the other blocks with their embroidery. Too cute and so worth waiting for!
I'm finding that this UFO Buster group is the push I needed to get stuff done.
I'd like to get back to an long-abandoned cross stitch project while watching TV, but I just don't even think of doing it then. Perhaps I'll leave myself a note ..?
I'm off to visit around.
Hugs!

Awww, that will be a cute gift!
I didn't make any UFO progress this week, hoping for next week!

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but my links don't seem to stick! I posted my link here yesterday with a *finished UFO!* and now it's gone. I don't think my past links have worked either, but I wanted to let everyone know that I am busting those UFO's! And enjoying seeing everyone elses hard work~:0)

It sounds like you've had an emotional week . It's nice you could relax in front of the sewing machine for a little while.
