Slow Going

Nothing exciting is happening at The Yellow House these days. Oh, Skipper, he continues his excavations, and I have to wash his feet several times a day. And right in the middle of an exciting scene on "Criminal Minds," or while my attention is thoroughly taken up with something in the book I'm reading, both dogs jump up and start barking like the house is being broken and entered. Scares the crap out me. But other than that, things are calm.

9Patch

I made several nine patch blocks for Debra's Cancer Society auction quilt yesterday. If you have time, I hope you will consider making some for her too. They're easy and fast--and fun. I used scraps from my overflowing scap basket to make mine.

And remember that Debra has also offered to take any UFOs off our hands if we want to give them up. She'll finish them and donate them to one of the service organizations that she serves. And having just acquired a new long-arm, Debra has instigated a bartering program to get your tops quilted. You can pay for the quilting with either money or supplies. Just go over to her blog and read all about it. I have a bundle of tops to send her.

I have absolutely nothing to show for the UFO Progress Report tomorrow, so I'm going to at least get some binding made today--I hope. Remember that Mr. Linky will be up in the morning for you busters to link to. And blogless busters, send me you photos and reports to suscleve@aol.com.

Finally, if you haven't signed up for the CSN $45 gift certificate giveaway, scroll on down to Tuesday's post and leave a comment. I'll draw for a winner tomorrow afternoon.

Hi!

Well done on the 9 Patch blocks for Debra! I hope to do some this weekend.

Debra's offer to quilt for barter is wonderful! I'll have to take stock and see what I have.

Hope you enjoy cutting that binding. It always gives me such a sense of accomplishment to have bindings sewn, pressed, and rolled up.

You may have to invent a puppy car-wash for Skipper!

Hugs!

Should have pics on my blog soon.

Just wanted to say thank you for mentioning Criminal Minds several months ago in your blog. I had never seen the show and now I am hopelessly addicted lol! I have seen several marathons and it seems to be on at least once an evening every night. You and I read a lot of the same books so I should have known I'd be an instant fan.
