No progress for me, I'm sorry to say. But just look at this beautiful donation quilt that Blogless UFO Buster Sissa has finished. She's donating it to an organization that helps young, often single mothers. Some little one is going to be blessed with this pretty. Since I especially love basket quilt and the color pink, this just cheers my soul.
And my soul needs a lot of cheering this morning. I'm normally a very upbeat person. I never get depressed. I worry a lot, but it doesn't turn into depression. But this morning, I just feel like I want to pack a small bag, get on a plane, and go somewhere where the world can't find me. And for the first time in my life, I think, I'm tired of winter. It has been sleeting and snowing and icing and freezing and raining. There's ice and mud and everywhere. Even Skipper doesn't want to go outside anymore--and weather has never stopped him.
Legal harassments from the same old source have again entered my life, and I just don't feel like I can take it anymore. I've been sent an "agreement" to sign that my heart, mind, and good sense tell me I shouldn't sign. I've done nothing wrong, and I keep being treated as if I have. I'm sick of it. I need a nerve pill, but I don't take nerve pills so I don't have one. So I got a ginger ale instead.
Barbara is still making progress with her UFO busting. Below are her most recent busts.
Here's what Barbara has to say about her work:
"Not so much progress this week but the 2nd donation quilt for alz.org is finished (photo1) and have registered both quilts so await their assigned numbers before mailing them. I've taken the $1000 pledge to make more and more of these little quilts until I've earned the organization $1000 in sales of the itty bitty quilts I made. The organization sets the prices so please visit this site and buy one or more of the many itty bitty quilts already available for sale. The sale of these itty bitty quilts supports research for a cure for Alzheimer's disease.
"Quilt #10, the Disappearing 9 Patch has its binding on at last! Photo 1 dimly shows that."
Congrats to all who have made progress and condolences to those (like me) who haven't. I'm sorry I'm late this morning. You should find Mr. Linky below, if he is cooperating this morning. Be sure to post a link to your blog with him to show your progress or anything else you'd like to show.
And remember, Debra has offered to take any UFO that we don't want to finish to work on for her service/donations projects. Debra just got herself a brand new long arm quilting machine and it's up and ready to help with our UFOs.
And could I ask for some prayers for me, please? The ginger ale isn't doing the trick.

OH Susan, I'm so sorry to hear that you are being legally hassled in addition to your health problems - I will of course include you in my prayers. Stay strong my dear and know that all over the world people care and are rooting for you.
I wish I lived nearer - I'd give this mean person a piece of my mind....or a bop on the nose.
Take one day at a time. This will pass.
Much love from the other side of the world!

Sorry to hear that it's a "downer" day. I hope something will happen today to brighten things up a bit.
I loved the pink basket quilt - so pretty.
And the $1000 committment by Barbara is amazing.

Hi Susan. Sorry to hear you are having a tough day. Do be careful about signing legal documents; could be that the Holy Spirit is prompting the restless spirit in you. I hope and pray that your weekend is a restful one!

Always listen to your heart in everything. Praying your day gets brighter. Any news about Gene? Still praying for him, too.

They're not my favorite people, but...what has a lawyer said about this document? Here's hoping it will go away!
Spring is around the corner...somewhere.

Susan, If you haven't already done so I strongly suggest that you contact your lawyer - this hassling that you are being subjected to doesn't seem right (or legal) to me.
Be assured that spring will be here soon and that things can only get better.

Thanks for saying hi to me Susan
Also thanks for telling me about the Mason Vista dishes I didn't know the age of them. I knew Pyrex was old or from the 1950's and 1960's
I love Mason Vista and always look for it at bargain prices (it's pricy)

Don't sign something that you are uncomfortable with, maybe a sign that you shouldn't sign. So sorry to hear you are down to today, things will be better. I know this weather is taking a toll on many people. It helps me on a doom and gloom day to find something good that happened, no matter how small. I will have my UFO update later today.

Poor Suzie! You don't need the legal hassle. Why are they sending you something to sign? They need to talk to your lawyer, who needs to know your bottom line, and leave you out of it. Quoting our old school principal Mr. Vann: "These d----d young'uns!"

Sorry to hear about your troubles. But please don't let them get you down. Something good is always around the corner.

I have to agree with the rest of your friends, don't sign anything that you are not comfortable with, I'm afraid the peace you think it would bring now would bring regret later. I sometimes get the winter blues too, hang in there, sunny days will be here again.

Susan, please don't sign anything that you aren't comfortable with. It will not give you the peace that you seek. And especially if it goes against the wishes of someone that was near and dear to you. Please seek the advise of an attorney.

You are in my thoughts. So sorry. I don't know what your legal hassles are (I only started reading your blog a few months ago), but they are always a pain.
Can I get on that plane and go with you? I could use a similar break!
I posted my UFO progress yesterday. So, I put that link on Mr. Linky.
Thanks a lot. Feel better.

Hi Susan,
Count me in with the rest who urge you NOT to sign that document but to turn it over to your lawyer for review. It's sad to think you have to retain a lawyer but that's better than being mistreated or taken to the cleaners by anyone.
Love the basket quilt that Sissa made to donate. It is lovely and the love in it's creation will certainly warm the hearts and souls of some young mother and her child.
The best thing for quilters with the wintertime blues is some loud or wildly colorful fabric. It could be floral, but it needs to be happy-happy-joy-joy colors above all. I often crank up the volume and listen to the sound track from Boys on the Side when I'm down. Put some wine in the refrigerator to chill and plan or start a happy quilt. You're in my prayers.
Sleet here,too.
Hugs!

I agree with the rest Susan. Please do not sign anything that you are uncomfortable with and seek legal advise if you feel you need it. Try not to worry too much as I'm sure that stress will aggravate that dreaded fibro-monster. Those people should learn about compassion and love.
I'm sick of our Winter too. Our ground in Canada is still frozen solid and covered with lots of snow, we have the mud to look forward too.
Treat yourself to something nice today.
Hugs Ruth
