The Continuing Saga

Did I not get the news flash? Has it really happened?

I can't go into details about what my legal entailments entail; then I will get accused of lying and things will just be worse. Suffice to say that it all started the day my husband died and has continued for the last 17 months. Every time I think things have settled down, they boil over again.

I do have a lawyer. Actually, he's the one who sent me the agreement, forwarded it on to me from the lawyer of He Who Must Not Be Named. I think my lawyer knows I won't sign it, but I guess he has to send it to me anyway. At least, if he has been listening to me at all, he knows I won't. But have no fear. Unless the photo above is true, and Hell has indeed frozen over, I will not be signing anything that, in effect, gives another person control over my life. And that's what the agreement in question attempts to do.

Thanks to all for your concerns and especially for your kind words, thoughts, and prayers.

UGH! Legal issues can be soooo draining. Sending you strengthening thoughts!

I'm reading the Harry Potter series with my son right now. "He who must not be named" - make me think of Lord Voldemort. Ha, ha!

It's sad how some people just love to make others miserable.
Stay strong, sending up some prayers.

Seems it must be based on all greed or meanness or a mix of the two. For shame, as if grief and forever missing someone who is beloved isn't enough to deal with.

You're a strong, wise woman and you'll be okay.

Big hugs!

I have come to admire and respect you through reading your blog since before your husband passed away. One of the books I read to try to help me through widowhood said, "Some days you just need to curl up in bed with good books, good movies on the dvd, potato chips, chocolate cake, chocolate cookies, chocolate ice cream, chocolate cupcakes, chocolate candy, hot chocolate, your favorite pet and cry until you have no more tears. Then stay a few hours longer." Sounds like you are having one of those days!! Hope the sun shines soon figuratively and literally in your world.

It takes quite a BIT to get me good & PO'ed, but, as I've said many times, the three SURE things which WILL are: Child abusers, prejudice in ANY form, and people hurting people I love. Well, THIS creature falls into Category Three & is on my SERIOUS 'Pi**ing Me Off' list. Lemme at him!

Here's hoping your lawyer is a good one, and that this whole mess gets resolved soon! Here's to strong women who face adversity, widowhood, and conflict with determination to prevail and be dealt with fairly! Here's to chocolate, sweet puppies, and naps in the afternoon. Here's to you, Susan, and my thoughts, prayers and best wishes go out to you in this - hope it will soon be just a bad memory. Hang in there!

Lots of support and hugs to you as you battle the legal problems. Seventeen months of it? Good for lawyers maybe, but not for you. Hang in there and be strong.
