One of our blogless UFO Busters, Deb P., has suffered a winter-related injury. While shoveling her driveway of snow, poor Deb broke her wrist. It's a bust, but not the good kind.
Take it easy, Deb, and let that wrist heal. We want you back at that sewing machine ASAP.
Got some unwelcome tasks to take care of today, then I'm really really really going to pack and get ready for retreat. I've decided to leave tomorrow afternoon and spend the night near the camp. I've already made my hotel reservations. That way, if it snows, I'll still probably be able to get to Retreat by midday or so. And if it doesn't, I'll have that long drive behind me and won't have to spend my first day of retreat in bed.

Oh, that is a real drag! If you're going to break your wrist, it should be doing something fun like ice skating or something!
Take care, Deb. Have fun on your retreat, Susan!

Susan, Hope you have fun on the retreat. We do expect pictures when you get back. Stay well and maybe it won't snow to much. Hope Deb's wrist will heal soon.

What a bummer to break a wrist! Big hugs to Deb P.! Keep the wrist/hand elevated to minimize swelling and read and follow all of the instructions from the doctor. If you have a cast on and your fingers tingle OR they or your fingernails turn any shade of blue, purple, or black OR if the pain increases, get to the ER immediately to have the cast checked. Former ER nurse here!
What a wise decision to go to the retreat early so you're rested when you actually arrive. Have a wonderful time being away, playing with your friends, and sewing up a storm - or snoozing!
Hugs!
