Last night, Andy came by and brought me a movie DVD that she had rented from Red Box, one I had never heard of: "A Dog Year" starring Jeff Bridges and an adorable border collie. This HBO movie is based on a book by writer Jon Katz.
This time, I had a little less trouble getting the movie to play (but only a little less), and Skipper didn't throw up.
The film is full of occasions for laughter and tears. (I always cry when watching dog movies.) Jeff is awesome in his portrayal of Katz who adopts an abused dog named Devon. The border collie brings more problems into Jon's already troubled life (which we don't get the full details of in the movie), but Devon also brings healing and change. It's sort of a "Marley and Me" with less damage.
This movie made me determined to read the book. I can't wait.

After a weekend free of any kind of UFO busting, I'm going to get back to work today. I really enjoyed Friday's posts by all you busters. It's fun and inspiring seeing what everyone else is doing--or not doing.
If you don't have a blog and have something you want to post pertaining to the bust, email it to me by Thursday at suscleve@aol.com. You blogging busters will find another Mr. Linky on Friday for linking to your blog post.

Stephanie, you might want to wait a while to watch this one. Heal a little from the loss of your doggie before you watch it.
