Nothing brings tears to my eyes faster than a homeless person with a pet. It just breaks my heart! Thanks for reminding us to remember!

As I've read twice in the last week:
"I'm here to comfort the afflicted and to afflict the comfortable."

May we as individuals and as a nation find a way to right this injustice.

Hugs...

What a sad commentary for any country but especially for the most blessed nation on earth. Truly sad.

Hi Susan! So true, so true. We need to recognize that they gave so much for all of US! I always thank those who I see wearing hats that indicate that they are a veteran. Our freedom is because of them!

HEY! You are the winner of one of my bags! I posted about them today. You have the choice between the teal or pink one.

Congrats!!

hugs,
becky

Thank you for reminding us to honor the homeless vets along with everyone else. Truthfully, I hadn't really thought about it much. Thanks for raising my consciousness!

What a photo! I agree with the post above. I spent quite a bit of time in San Francisco one year and saw so many homeless...with pets.
I hate it when they try to take the pets away from them!

It just breaks my heart, this post is very close to my heart, I am married to a disable veteran, let me tell you, it is not easy to live with a combat veteran, my husband could be one of those homeless vets, the only difference is that He has a loving family who cares so much for him and we are willing to sacrifice many, many things to live with him.
It takes a lot of love, a lot of patience but what we need most is A GREAT FAITH in God, because we will experience pain as we see our vets suffer from physical and emotional pain.

Thank You so much for this post. God Bless.

Cotty
