Pink Saturday, Etc.

Frontofpatternpic_thumb16 Lucky me again! I won this gorgeous Bloomer Bag that Becky was offering in her blog giveaway at Sweet Cottage Dreams. Thanks so much, Becky.

I've been very lucky in drawings lately and scored some beautiful things. I love this bag. There's a pattern if you're interested in making yourself or someone else one. Just go to Becky's blog to learn more.

In honor of Pink Saturday, below are a few photos that I shot this morning around The Yellow House.

Yesterday, while I should have been working in the sewing room, I made a trip to a favorite thrift store. Below are a few of the treasures I found there.

  Thrift2

I just could not resist these red poppie tumblers. Won't they be great for tea or lemonade next summer?--although I plan to use them before then.

I'm going to fill the big red basket with some of the large pine cones that fall from a tree in my back yard. Maybe I'll tie a pretty bow on the basket handle, then I'm going to place the basket on my red bistro table on the front porch as part of my holiday decorations.

Of course I had to have this pretty plate to add to the blue-and-white plate wall collection in my guest bedroom.

Thrift4
A sweet little mirror, crowned with flourishes and cheribs (or as a friend of mine calls them, "little naked babies.")

Happy Pink Saturday, everyone.

You sure have a way of finding some extra pretty things! That mirror is really unique with all of the details!!

I will get your PINK bag out to you on Monday. It was the bag that was initially going to be on the pattern cover, but then I decided to use some of my friend's new fabric line, Red Rose Farm- by Elizabeth Scott, available through PB Textiles.

Happy Saturday!

Score!! What wonderful treasures you found to add even more charm to your lovely home!

Congratulations on winning the snazzy ruffled bag, too. You have been very lucky in winning various give-away prizes. How do you do it?

I'm almost to the point of putting the last 15 blocks together for DS1's long-awaited quilt and here I am playing on the computer instead of sewing.

Is anyone besides me still adding home made Christmas gifts to your to do list??? I should have thought of these things in July. Am I crazy???

Hugs!

Very pretty poppy glasses, plate and basket. And mirror. Great shopping! Plus the pink tour, cute. I am on a "no buy" trend just now--my house is stuffed to the gills and is driving me just a little bit crazy. Time to purge!

I love the bag, might have to check out the pattern. I love all of your finds, my favorite is the red basket. That is going to look very nice with the pine cones. I found a basket that I am going to use at Christmas but it needs painting. I was thinking white or black, but now that I have seen your red basket I think I might go with that. Thanks for the inspiration.
