At last the nights are cool enough to wear my flannel PJs. There's nothing quite as cozy as slipping into a pair of warm jammies, opening a good book, and snuggling down for a couple of hours of reading.
Of course, being of a hot nature myself, I have to keep the heat pretty much turned off when I'm in my warm pajamas. But the dogs don't mind; they have built in coats, after all.
I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed these days, and that overwhelmedness translates into often interrupted sleep, which translates to even more fatigue than usual.
There's so much work around here that needs to be done. Especially outside, the type of work I'm just not up to doing. Jesse has helped a lot, but it seems the tasks are neverending. I know I'm going to have to find someone to be available on a regular basis to do yard work.
Vann, in his infinite wisdom and need to leave detailed instructions, gave me strict orders to hire someone to handle the yard, but I just haven't seen fit to do that yet. It's just another admission of how drastically things have changed around here.
Our church family lost a friend and wonderful woman this week. She was the type of person that everyone loved, from children to the elderly. She absolutely glowed with kindness. I think her passing has stirred up my grief and brought it closer to the surface. I'm feeling pretty down. But I'll work through it, and things will get better.
Meanwhile, there's sewing and knitting and painting and gluing to be done. Let's see which one I can get into today.
In closing, Sophie would like to wish you all a HAPPY REDNSDAY!

Oh Susan I think you need more doing nice things for yourself time and less of all the other stuff. I'm sure you're right though about getting someone to do the yard - some nice young man would probably be glad of the job and you would have a big weight lifted of your shoulders.
Take care of yourself my dear and plan lots more jammies and reading time in your schedule ;-)

Oh dear heart, new losses do stir up past griefs. You're right that time will help make things okay again.
Red print flannels and a red shirt for Rednesday are just perfect! I've been in my flannels in the evenings, too, and just love 'em! I am unlikely to ever allow myself to wear them to the store, but I sort of envy those who can do that.
Do you suppose any of your neighbors, guild members, or church friends have a yard man who has a time slot available to do your yard? There are several nurseries here that contract yard care with customers so that could be another possibility. Why do I think that would cost more?
What a prim and proper cutie Sophie is!
Hugs!

Gosh Susan Sopie is just sooooo cute. Remember lots of time for what you want to do ,not the things you think you ought to do!

Soph is so cute. Snuggly warm PJs sound so good. You have cute ones! My daughter (5 yo) has such cute ones...Flannel bottoms and fleece tops. I love them. How come they don't make them for adults like that? I guess I could break down and make some like that! I definitely think you should hire someone to take care of the yard work. I would in a heartbeat if I could. :-) Sorry you are feeling down. Hang in there. I'm glad you have good family support around you.

That sounds reasonable. The lady dying and it stirred things right up. Spray some lavender on your pillow. It helps induce sleep. At least that's what I do when I change the sheets. Tie another knot in your rope and hang on, girl. CM will be on within the hour here. Maybe Garcia will perk you up.

I am sorry you are feeling down, hope this blues passes soon. I love your pj's and I agree, there is nothing better to beat the cold weather than some cozy pj's, a book and a furrrrry friend next to us. ')
Happy rednesday.

Love those darling jammies! And that's one of the CUTEST pictures ever of Miss Sophie! But I agree that you should be WAY kinder to your sweet lil' self & LET people help you! Fibro is such a pain in the everything anyway, and there's no need to invite it's pain! Vann (the sweety) wanted you to be cared for, so do it for him. And I'm very sorry to hear about your friend's passing. I just lost someone, too - can't even TALK about it yet. So I am grieving with you! LOVE YOU SO MUCH!

Elegant pajamas! Pain plus loss of sleep equals feeling down, I know. This too shall pass. Doggies are the best remedy for feeling blue. You are blessed double in that department! Roll with the tide!

Sending you lots and lots of hugs. Be gentle with yourself and try not to stress on the things that don't get done. Just let them go. They will get done in time.
How yummy to curl up in cozy jammies, with a good book! And dear Sophie is the cutest!
Happy belated Rednesday,
Sally
