All 5 1/2 inch squares cut. All squares sewn into rows.
I got right to work after a long walk with the doggies this morning, and worked until about 1:00. That's when Skipper and Sophie ran out of patience and started demanding some attention. So we went across the street to Paul's backyard and let them explore for a while. (Note: Our fence is scheduled to be installed on Thursday!!!!!)
Back home, I gave the dogs a couple of treats, then made one for myself: a brownie sundae with Blue Bonnet Homemade Vanilla ice cream.
I hope you are all checking out everyone's progress. Check the comments on this morning's bog post to see who is hard at work. And whatever you do, don't miss Thelma's special retreat footwear.
Below are some photos of Sandy Gail's Sunbonnet Sue blocks. Sandy G. says, "The quilt that I am working on this week is a Sun Bonnet Sue that will be for a two year old. It is full bed size. I plan to get the borders on it and maybe even start some machine quilting on it this week. I quilt both by hand and on my domestic sewing machine. This one will be totally machine quilted. The little girl likes things like soccer, balloons, hearts, etc. so I am putting things on the quilt that will interest her."

Great work, Sandy. Sunbonnet Sue is one of my favorite quilt designs.
All right, back to the sewing machine. I hope all of you are having a great first day of retreat.

Love the progress on the little bear quilt, Susie! Well done!
Sandy, these Sunbonnet Sues are the first of that pattern I have ever liked. Yours have so many charming details and are sweet and cute, probably not unlike their future little owner!
Many interruptions and intrusions in my day and am having to measure extra, too. Bummer! Still, am making progress here, too.
Hugs to all!

Love Thelma's socks. Too funny. I like your bear quilt. That will be cute. The Sunbonnet Sue is adorable. I really like her for some reason. I know some have issues with her, but I don't really understand why.... Hope you're having fun with this!

Issues with Sunbonnet Sue?! Blasphemy! Just kidding, but I'm a Sue-Nut too! Love the little soccer ball! You girls look like you're having so much fun at the retreat! Enjoy tomorrow too!

It looks like you have been enjoying the quilt retreat and getting lots done. Having the fence will change your life. It is so nice to let the dogs out on their own here when it's inconvenient to accompany them.

Hi Susan and all
WOW!!I make some confusion about the date. I am very late to start my Quilt Along with you?? I had separate 2 projects for this Quilt Along. One is a table christmas topper and another one is log cabin quilt and I just have some blocks in pink/green ready need to make some more.In this one I need also to square up, decide which variation of log cabin to my quilt and then assembling the blocks.Well, I am ready to sew.Sorry my later.
