Sorry I've been incommunicado for a couple of days. I've been busy with meetings and getting my life situated so that I can retreat to the sewing room for the next three days. My life refuses to guarantee I'll have no interruptions, but I'm about to get going and see what happens.
What about you? From the sound of some of your comments, many of you are just as excited about this retreat as I am--even some of you who plan to just watch (and watchers are always welcome). If you'd like to join us for our three-day virtual quilting retreat, but haven't signed up, you're still welcome to do so. Just leave a comment here that you'll be quilting along.

I have included blog addresses for those of you who have provided them. If there is no blog address beside your name it means a) you don't have a blog, b) I don't have your blog address, or c) I have your blog address but can't find it. So if you have a blog but your URL isn't listed, please LEAVE A COMMENT ON THIS POST with your blog address so I can include it in the list.
NOW! As you sew along this week, take a few photos if you have a digital camera. Photograph what you're working on, what you're eating, what you might be listening to (books on tape, tv, music, etc.). At the end of the day or the beginning of the next day, post a shot or two. Then leave a comment on the last post on this blog so we'll know you have show and tell and we can visit your blog. I hope that a little visiting and fellowship will be just as much a part of this sew-along as the sewing itself. And you watchers, you're welcome to join in the visiting with your comments too.
If you have no blog, e-mail me your photos at suscleve@aol.com and I'll post them here.
We'll have some pop-drawings for prizes along the way. Pop meaning you never know when I'm going to do one.
No go on an have some fun. But wait, before you go, here are some photos that I took at the October meeting of the Birmingham Quilters Guild yesterday. Just to get you in the mood.
Our 2010-11 Donation Quilt will be given away in June.
We have a few gentleman quilters in our guild. One of them, Art A. made this gorgeous one-fabric quilt.

The BQG Singers (They were lousy!)
The Tuscaloosa guild's donation quilt.
I promised the four-leggikins I'd take them for a walk before I start sewing, so off we go!
HAPPY SEWING EVERYONE!

OK, I'm in my sewing room, I have my fabrics piled up, with some baggies containing parts of my project pre-cut. I just have to change the foot and thread in my sewing machine, refill my water jug, and get started. Oh, and I'll take a picture now, too.

Am here, too! My computer is a quarter turn of my sewing chair from my machine so the distractions can be many!
I've rethreaded my machine with a soft grey cotton thread, have at last conquered my fear and confusion about Peaky and Spike (my background fabric is 4"x6" so is a bit unusual), and have block units ready for a 2nd block!! Mind you, the first block has been ready for years - don't ask how many!!
One photo taken, too.
So many blogs have lovely music that I'm listening to those I have bookmarked for this purpose.
Here we go!! Hugs to all!

Best laid plans. Had to go to the Wellness Center to exercise first. Then came home and got organized and began sewing. Got two blocks finished, then had to go to Tai Chi class and lunch at the Seniors Center. My back protested from double exercise. Had to lie down to give it a break. Woke up two hours later!!! I do have the third block cut and laid out. Hope I'll be more productive tomorrow. I'm glad for the retreat, at least I've begun working on a project I've put aside several times.
