Patternity

Flutterbyquilt
Several of you have asked about the pattern and fabric I'm using to make my diamonds quilt. This is a Tula Pink design (shown above) and I'm using Tula Pink fabrics from her "Flutterby" line to make mine. You can find the quilt pattern HERE. You might have a little trouble finding the fabrics now. I used a Flutterby Jelly Roll, and I don't even remember where I got it. I think I ordered it online, but that's as close as I can get. But there are many other fabrics that would work gorgeously in this design. Someone mentioned using Kaffe Fassett fabrics, and I think that's a great idea.

Others of you were interested in the patterns for the Sunbonnet Sues that Sandy Gail used in her quilt. This is the book she used. She created her own embellishments, like the balloons and soccer balls, but these patterns would give you the basics.

I have to confess I pooped out early this afternoon. I sewed another row of blocks, finally found my heart template, and that was it for me. After another walk with the doggies, I had to call it quits. I was exhausted and I really didn't want to push so hard that I'd be out of commission tomorrow.

BECAUSE TOMORROW IS PRIZE DAY! I'll draw for several prizes, so you will want to stay in touch tomorrow to see if you won anything. I'll show pictures of the prizes before I draw.

I hope everyone gets a good night's sleep and is ready for a full, fun last day of our retreat tomorrow. I can't believe it's already coming to an end. Sleep tight, all.

P.S. I'm sure some of you blogless retreaters have sent me photos and/or reports from your work today. I promise I'll post whatever you have sent first thing in the morning.

Another P.S. I'm linking to Tea Rose Home Link Party. Thought this would be a good way to show a few others what we're making. And you might want to pay a visit to Tea Rose and see what others have made as well.

LOVE the quilt! Well done!!

I'm glad to hear you found the heart template, too. It's such a relief to find things that have been misplaced.

I hope to get going early tomorrow but have to leave at 2p for a medical appt. for DS2.

Sweet dreams, all!

Hugs!

Well done... Hope you rest well. I'm done for the night - my knees are sore from basting my quilt!

Thanks for organizing this!

That is beautiful Susan! I got my backing fabric yesterday so after the morning rush of getting a kid to school and husband and second kid to work, I will be making my back for my Halloween quilt!
