A few years ago I did a series of 12" x 12" journal quilts based on Elvis. This is my favorite, "Teddy Bear." The bear is made from some fuzzy fake fur stuff. And see the little bears in the background fabric?
I've always loved teddy bears. I have a small collection of them, shown below. I remember one huge teddy bear that my sister Ramey and I shared when we were children. He was black and white, and Mama and Daddy got him at an auction that was held one night in our hometown. I don't know who was holding the auction or any other details (Ramey probably remembers--she remembers everything). I just remember that my parents bid on the bear and won it. There was another one just like it, but someone else got it, so Ramey and I had to share the one bear. But that was ok.

I watched the season premieres of two of my favorite tv shows last night: "House" and "Castle." Neither one was very knock-your-socks-off exciting. Looking forward to the season opener of "Fringe" on Thursday. And tomorrow night, "Criminal Minds" returns. I don't think this new season premiere, "The Longest Night," will lack for excitement. Tim Curry (I love his bad-guy rolls) returns as serial killer Billy Flynn. The BAU team is up against pure evil.
Gotta go. I have two very impatient doggies pestering me for a walk. Have a great Tuesday everyone. I always thought Tuesday gets short shrift. It's not really a famous day for anything. It and Thursday. They just hang there, holding the rest of the week together. So do something special today to celebrate Tuesday. Let this fine day know it is appreciated.

Hi there!
I love teddy bears, too, and the Elvis Teddy quilt is cute as pie! Well done! Your collection of so many different bears is wonderful! One of my bears was given to me when I was 3 days old and he's one-eyed and shabby now. Another teddy bear had a rubbery muzzle that I teethed on and never heard him complain once. My teddies usually join us at Christmas.
House didn't impress me either and I am bummed that NUMB3RS is gone or I cannot find it. I really liked that show. Sigh ...
Have a terrific Tuesday!
Hugs!

Love all the teddies and that quilt is precious!
Billy Flynn creeps me out (worse than the Reaper)! I'm taping Criminal Minds so that I can watch it in the daylight! I watched Hawaii Five-0 last night...so much better than I expected...I loved it! (I'm watching too much TV...'cause it's too hot to be outside! Where's fall?)

I love teddy bears too. I'll bring them out and decorate with them, then put them away again as the mood strikes. My absolute favorite fall show, and the only one I watch regularly, is Criminal Minds. I can't wait to see how this plays out!

Can't wait to see Fringe, though I hope they resolve the last-season cliffhanger quickly. I lose patience pretty quickly. As I like to tell my husband, reading is better than watching because I can always read faster!

Criminal Minds is too scarey for me. So we don't watch it anymore.
Psych, White Collar, Castle are favorites. But I have to go to bed around 10, so I miss a lot.
You know, not that I feel deprived or anything, but I don't think I ever had a teddy bear.
Love to Skipper and Sophie!

I love my bears as well and use them all the time to decorate. I actually posted pictures of some for fall just yesterday. Love the quilt.

I love Teddy bears too! My husband likes Castle a lot as good light entertainment. Last night we watched The Event, which I liked better than the other new premiere, Hawaii Five O, which was a bit predictable, violent, and high tech loving to interest me as much.
Tuesday is my favorite day of the week! I was born on a Tuesday, that's why :)
