Roosters Continued

Rooster 3

I never like to waste photos. So I'm going to use today's post to show some more roosters. These are the ones I photographed for the Barb's Rooster Party before I decided to show my fabric book instead. The one above is a wooden recipe box made by craft artist Carole Tipton for a mixed-craft book I was doing at Oxmoor House. I bought it at one of the prop/project auctions we used to have at OH.

Rooster 2
Andy gave me this. There are tiny eggs inside the box.

Rooster 5
Thrift-store painted iron bookends to hold some of my favorite cookbooks.

Rooster 4

Gertrude's rooster rug. (Gertrude is my stove.)

Rooster 1
I found the paper-towel holder at Marshall's and the hand soap at Home Goods.

Rooster 6
A pretty rooster mug.

Rooster 7
I found this great canister at a yard sale a couple of weeks ago. I haven't decided what I'm going to put in it. Do you have a suggestion?

Today, I'm linking to Cielo's Show Off Your Cottage Party  Barb's Rooster Party, and Rhoda's Thrifty Monday.

Hi, Susan! I never SAW so many darling roosters in one place! That 'pokey-dottered' - as my daughter used to say when she was 2 - one is WONDERFUL! The one Andy gave you is priceless! And you KNOW I'm nuts about the red paper towel holder! I mean red AND roosters? PERFECTION! But that new one - the canister - is something I've never SEEN! No idea what to put IN it, but even if you put NOTHING, it will be GORGEOUS!

What a varied and cheerful group of rooster treasures you have! The little porcelain box Andy found is just charming! Thanks for showing these to us.

It's been a busy morning,so I'm now off to see more of what everyone has been up to in their homes.

Hugs!

Glad you decided to post these! It's always fun to see more roosters. I've been out of town and away from my computer, so I'm late in arriving at all the parties. I'm off to see your first one..... Sarah

What a great collection of roosters. I really love the cannister. The lid looks like pewter. ~~Sherry~~

What a fun collection! I'd love to see large wooden beads in that canister, maybe even some of the oval ones to look like eggs!
