My sister Ramey and I found the perfect way to celebrate the day before the day. First we dropped in at our favorite thrift store, Big Saver in Roebuck. It seemed a lot of other folks had the same idea though. The aisles were full of folks looking for bargains. We found some treasures though, which I'm not showing here. Instead, I'm about to give you a mini-tour of our favorite place for treasure hunting. I remembered to take my camera this time.
Seeing this photo, I really wish I had bought this throw. If it's there next time, I'm getting it.
I've seen this sheet the last few times I've been to Big Saver. If it had a little higher thread count I'd get it to make lounge pants. But it's a bit loosely woven.
Nick & Nora. Hmmm. A little more like it, but a bit (just a bit) too small.
When we were finished shopping, Ramey and I found we had thrifted ourselves quite faminished, so our next stop was Jim 'n' Nicks for some pig 'n' taters. Actually Ramey had chicken 'n' taters. She doesn't like pig; oh, but I do.
Now today, I plan to finish the gussying up of the guest room. I bought something really fine yesterday to help with that gussying, but I don't want to show you until it's in its intended spot. I'm going to work really hard to get the entire room done and show lots of photos here tomorrow as my contribution to Ceilo's "Show Off Your Cottage Monday."
I hope you'll drop by tomorrow and see what I've done. And also check out the other cottages featured at The House in the Roses.

Some fun things to view in the thrift store- Susan- I decided to go and check out some things in the basement before visiting the thrift store. It is long past time for me to change things over to Summer decor.
I have posted a link to your blog re the beautiful wall hanging.
You can find it here:

Oh, what a treasure trove! Hope the throw is there when you go again - and I'd be sure to go today. Methinks it's worth the drive!
Thanks for the links to other cozy blogs!
Hugs!
