I have had a hard time keeping my mouth shut about this until the book became available for purchase. Well now it is.
Sweet Music on Moonlight Ridge by my sister Ramey Channell is now available for purchase at Amazon and Barns & Noble online. Coming to a book store near you soon.
This is a wonderful book, even if my sister did write it. Since I'm too excited to write a review right now, I'll quote from the blog "Leeds Herald Daily News."
Sweet Music on Moonlight Ridge is set in 1950s rural Alabama. It's the story of two children, Lily Claire and her beloved cousin Willie T., who solve a mystery on Moonlight Ridge, on the outskirts of a small fictitious town named Eden, Alabama. A magical and musical story, Sweet Music on Moonlight Ridge is filled with humor, elements of the supernatural, and the rural heritage of life in a small Southern town. Technically a novella, or short novel, this is a great read for summer. (Or anytime, for that matter.)

Susan, You and Joanne and I (and Willie T.)grew up in an extraordinary environment, and for better or worse, in an extraordinary family. There is no end to the stories; this is just the first. Thanks for the P.R. ... from the P.R.C.

I plan to head for Barnes & Noble in the morning before I do another thing! This will be the book I read while I recuperate! I am ALMOST finished with Anchee Min's "Pearl in China" a novel about Pearl S. Buck, & Ramey's book sounds just perfect to read when I need refreshing after my lil' surgery Wednesday! CONGRATULATIONS, Ramey! When I finish, I will do a review on Barnes & Noble for you!

Ramey is right: It was all most extraordinary, and the stories are plenteous. I'm glad Ramey wrote one of them. Can't wait for the next one.

That is so cool! I may have to get this. I need a good summer read! Thanks for sharing and congrats to your sister! (P.S. I was out the other day to Home Depot, and I swear I saw a guy walk out with a pet squirrel on his shoulder. My husband said, "Couldn't be. Must have been a ferret." I said, "I know what a ferret looks like, and it was not a ferret. It was a squirrel!")
