A Walk for PopPop

Bark9 Sophie and I took part today in the First Annual Barks for Life at Moody City Park. There were dozens of doggies and lots of fun. Sophie did some doggie art (which I'll show in another post), met lots of four-legged friends, explored the entire park, and had loads of fun. After our one-mile walk in memory of our Vann, we had some good pit barbecue with Andy, who had snown up by then.

Then we went home; both of us were too tired to stay for the games: a "musical sit" contest (the last dog to sit is out), a high-jump, and more. Although Sophie is a great sitter and would have had a good chance of winning that contest, we decided a nap on the couch would be more fun.

Here are some photos of our day. The first one, at top, shows Andy and Sophie both showing off their brand new haircuts. Tomorrow i'll post the series showing Sophie doing her art work.

Great pictures of a sunny Southern day and a gathering for a worthy cause. Wonderfully cute or handsome dogs (as the case may be) and Andy looks charming as usual. Vann is sure to have been pleased with the walk you and Sophie made as well as with your wise decision to nap!

I'm looking forward to photos of Sophie's artwork!

Hugs!

Both Andy AND Sophie look GORGEOUS! I'm so glad you had a nice day for the event, and I believe Vann was smiling at his girls! NOTE: The doggies are all so cute, but I'm afraid I'm biased in favor of Miss Sophie! She's the CUTEST!

I like your blog! Sure wish I was quilting more often. One of my favorite things used to be threading the needle for my mawmaw.
