All Right Then

Pink Chair I guess I'll go take a look at those pink chairs today. The vote seems to be unanimous. I checked, and the chairs are still at the shop. So I guess I'll start up the little green truck and go see if they're really as great as they look in the pic. I'll let you know.

I had quite a busy day yesterday and learned some things: 1) I have many, many more photos than I even thought, and it's going to take a while and a few more storage boxes to get them transferred from the old shoe boxes; and 2) I just have to admit to myself that I can no longer rake leaves and do yard work.

Raking leaves There are areas in my yard, especially in the back, that are in dire need of raking, places where the leaf blower won't work, around bushes and steps, etc. I decided I was up for the task yesterday, but I soon learned NOT! I had raked up three small piles before I was convinced beyond a doubt, by my aching back, that I couldn't do it. So we'll hire that chore done, we will, Sophie and I. It's really amazing how many things I can no longer do that used to be "a piece of cake" since I developed the degenerative disc problem. Grrrrrr!

I'm going to have to stop work in the office for a little while and get my sewing room straightened up. That hasn't been a problem while I have been embroidering the Noah's Ark blocks. But I have only two to go, and then I'll need to get into the sewing room and cut the pieces for the rest of the blocks and sew them together to make a quilt. I also have some more pillowcases to make for various people and programs. As things stand now (and I don't even want to show you a photo), that would not be possible.

Old Sol is shining bright here today. We had a heavy frost this morning, but the weather man is telling us that conditions will be warming up a little this weekend. Sophie and I are excited. We're ready for long warm afternoons and a return of the neighborhood happy hour.

Susan, I am ready for spring too! At least the sun is shining today :)
I am glad you are going to look at the chairs again. I really like them.
I wouldn't show a picture of my sewing room either! It is a mess! But I am being productive :)
Enjoy the weekend!
Blessings,
Donna

I took a look around my house the past few days and said, "You are out of here!" to a few items that I have not really ever liked (they were from Wes's prior household) so I will be visiting the local consignment shop too. Thank goodness those places exist!

If the weather continues to warm up, I may be out in the garage quilting your tops for the women's shelter this weekend.

Glad you're going to take a look-see-sit to find out if these chairs are really for you or not. Please let us know what you decide.

It's a bummer, indeed, when we can no longer do as we used to do. Lupus requires I stay out of the sun unless dressed like Nanuck. Then I tire out too quickly and stay tired for days. One night's sleep isn't enough. Bummer to the max. You are wise to hire someone for that work. Perhaps a neighbor would like to do it in exchange for a quilt, a meal a month, or some other barter arrangement?

My St. Paddy's top is finished at just 18" and I like it. My sewing room is also a disaster area.

Hugs!

I guess I'm ready for Spring too Susan. Even though you know I've enjoyed my first winter back.
