The Post That Was Not Meant To Be

Noah
God told Noah there's going to be a floodie, floodie
God told Noah there's going to be a floodie, floodie,
Get those animals out of the muddie, muddie,
Children of the Lord.
(sung to the tune of "Rise & Shine)

What an interesting morning I've had. I was sitting here having my second cup of coffee and working on my blog post when my daughter Andy called. Her car had broken down on the interstate on the way to work. She was sitting immobile on I20 in the rain.

I immediately hopped out of my PJs and into some clothes, put Sophie in the car, and off we went to rescue Andy.

When we arrived at the break-down site, a nice ASAP fellow in his little yellow truck with flashing lights was there already. It's good to know that there are folks like him out there on the highways to help out damsels in distress. As far as I could tell, the only help he was able to offer was a list of garages with towing service. But at least he was company.

My grandson's cousin's husband came and towed the car for a mere $30, much less than our garage would have charged. Sophie and I came home, and Andy got on her way to work in my car. And I sat back down at the computer to finish my blog post, which I did, and immediately erased the whole thing by the application of some odd push of a button or click of the click bar or something. I don't know what I did, but my post was gone, (all except for the song verse which I had saved before the trip to I20) gone into the ethernet with no hope of retrieval. I almost gave up. Instead, I took another sip of apple juice and started over.

The original post was entitled "Bring on the Gopher Wood," and began with me telling about the little embroidered square above. It's the first character for the Noah's Ark quilt I'm making to hang in our church nursery. I made Noah first so he could help build the ark and get all those animals rounded up. I stitched him up yesterday afternoon. It took only a couple of hours. I'm going to start on the ark today.

I think that's all that was in the original post. At least that's all I remember. I'm going now to take my Ibuprofen and make use of the heating pad for a while before I start my Ark block. Peace and blessings to all.

Way to go! Susan and Sophie to the rescue!

Sorry about your lost post. I have to wonder where the many words, ideas, stories, and such go when lost into cyberspace??? Will cyberspace ever get totally full???

Love your little Noah and it is certainly the proper order of things to get him made first. Here is something I read that you may want to keep in mind as you do this cheery little quilt:
"Persistence pays off. Even the snails arrived in time to get on the Ark!"

Hugs!

Love Noah. It's going to be a beautiful quilt. That song is one we used to sing way back when in Girl Scouts. Thanks for the memory. Hope Andy's car recovers.

With the rain we're getting and going to get, we might need Noah to rescue us!

Thank goodness help arrived for Andy! It's a scary thing to be sitting by the side of the road (especially I-20...too much traffic!) And thank goodness you and Sophie were there for moral support and a car!

Question #1: How come when you write about general chit-chat about your day it's always soooo interesting and informative and creative??
Question #2: How come you can make a post out of a post that wasn't even there, and we all enjoying reading it?? You're amazing, Susan. :)
