Know what else is good for anger management? Embroidery. Yesterday, nestled on the couch with a heating pad on one side and a warm doggie on the other, I stitched my next Noah block, the Ark, and finished my Yellow Fellow block for the Monster quilt.
An afternoon of mindless outline stitch left my thoughts free to ponder the situation I find myself in, to decide what's important, and weed out what is useless and/or harmful. So now, as Mr. Bob Marley and his "Three Little Birds," tell us:
Have a happy weekend, everyone. I plan to do the same.

Yes, indeed! Embroidery and (for me) crochet is soothing to the soul. I can dream away the stitching time and come through it with a completed project and a rested spirit! Your ark is great! And I just love, love, love that monster! I love YOU (and Sophie) too!

Good morning Susan, enjoy your anger management...I mean stitching. It's been quite a while since I embroidered but seeing your work makes me want to take it up again. Like Kai I also like to crochet - simple things only, it reminds me of my mother who used to produce beautiful crochet work well into her nineties.

Love how the yellow monster looks now that he/she is completed! What a great personality shows!
The ark is just what Mr. Noah needed next and, as usual, your embroidery skills are impeccable. Well done!
This Bob Marley song is one of my all time favorites and I tell myself this very t'ing on a regular basis. Thanks for the link!
Be at peace, dear heart. You cannot please everyone all of the time and should not make yourself suffer fools gladly! Be good to you!
Keep me in your prayers, as the snow falls here, I'm determined to clean and clear out my sewing room. Over time, many non-sewing things have wandered in here, no, I brought them in, but now they have to GO!
Love and hugs!

Must be the slow methodical rythmn of handwork that soothes us. Sitting at my quilt frame handquilting or doing applique will settle my mind every time.
Have a fun and peaceful weekend Susan.

Love the monster! The eyes are great! Had never heard the song before that I recall - it's great. I clicked on it, and my daughter (36) started to sing along with it. Reminds me of "Don't Worry, Be Happy!"

That Yellow Fellow is the cutest monster I've ever seen! Looks like he's dancing and telling you, "Eva'thang gonna be all right!"

Love the monster - so far they are all great and can't wait to see the finished quilt! You are such an inspiration to me, I like the ways you work through your situations and your illness and I truly see God at work in you.
Blessings
