Blue Bird

Blue Bird
 By C.J. Heck

If I could be an animal
I think I’d like to be
just like the little blue bird
that’s sitting in my tree.

I look at him and wonder
what it’s like when you can fly.
I’ll bet the world looks beautiful
from up there in the sky.

There would be no traffic jams
or stop signs in the air.
No bumpy roads with potholes
would ever be up there.

But I’d miss my mom and dad
and who’d be there at night
to help me brush my teeth
and tuck me in real tight?

He looks at me each morning
from the same branch in my tree.
While I sit wishing I was him,
is he wishing he was me?

In the past few days, I've seen three bluebirds. I hope that means spring is on the way. --SRC

Susan, I love blue birds and I can't wait for spring! Just to see the sunshine would be nice!
Blessings,
Donna

These Eastern blue birds are my favorite birds! I'm ready for spring, too.

We have sunshine on snow today and is it ever bright. There may be a bit of thawing Monday and Tuesday but there's a chance of more snow Tuesday night.

My sewing room clean-up is becoming circular - one area is neatened up by moving the "stuff" elsewhere in this little room. Too little is leaving and away seems full. Help!

Hope your day is a delight!

Hugs!

I'd love to see a Bluebird, but they do not come as far North as Ontario. The sign of Spring for us is the return of the Robins.
Have a lovely day.

I've never seen a Bluebird except in photos! We have Bluejays but no pretty lil' Bluebirds! Sigh! I'm SO not looking for Spring, but I DO love that cute birdy!

If bluebirds mean spring, could you send some this way? I'm really getting tired of being cold! I should start doing embroidery again...I cross-stitch alot, but I don't embroider anymore. I love your blocks...Hope you are having a nice weekend...
Hugs from a snowy Indiana

Lucky you - I've never seen a bluebird - they are so lovely. Let's hope that spring is on the way - like everyone else I am getting soooo tired of having to bundle up whenever I go out. We haven't had too much snow this year but it has been quite cold, but then that's what winter is all about. Have a healthy week.

I adore Spring ... I only wish it weren't followed by Summer (LOL). I adore the quilt blocks below ... great job on both counts! Sure hope today finds you feeling well and pain free!

Yes, you're not the only one blogging about bluebirds, but I haven't seen one yet...
